We've had another handover, this time from Force Incident Manager (FIM), Inspector Matthew. FIM's plan, manage and monitor operational policing activity and will effectively and efficiently direct the deployment of resources to incidents, including critical incidents.

This year we have to date received 59,598 abandoned calls and we are only in October! ☹️ That's an average of 5,959 a month #ASPLive

I have phoned 999 by mistake, am I in trouble? We know mistakes happen and people can find themselves calling 999 in error, for example where their phone dials this from a pocket etc… All we ask is that you stay on the line so that we know there is no emergency. #ASPLive

Meet Jordan - one of our Dispatchers 👋 Jordan has worked in the Control Room for three years and describes his role as challenging and exciting. Dispatchers are “the eyes and ears” that help prioritise jobs and advise units. #ASPLive

We work closely with fire and ambulance at all times of the year and especially at peak times such as Halloween 👻 and Bonfire Night 🎆 where we are often called to the same incidents. We work together to ensure the right response is sent. #ScreamWork #ASPLive
