I feel fortunate to have excellent urological care with @LoebStacy and #ChristopherKelly @NYUUrology, but many patients for whom I advocate are not as lucky. They simply cannot find the care they need. This bill needs to be passed as soon as possible.
As a patient and @patientadvocate, I will be joining the urological community at #AUASummit25 in meetings with our congressional reps on #CapitolHill. One issue is Medicare Physician Payment Reform. Clinical practice closings and consolidation, retirement, and doctor's discontinuation in accepting #Medicare directly impacts my health as a senior citizen. @AmerUrological @AmerUrological @LoebStacy

I'm grateful to be participating in this 8th Annual Advocacy Summit #AUASummit25 as a patient and advocate, and I will be on Capitol Hill tomorrow advocating for patients across the country adversely affected by the #Medicare payment cuts faced #urologists nationwide. @AmerUrological @AmerUrological

I was fortunate to speak last year at #AUA2024 in San Antonio as part of the #PatientPerspectives program: my topic was centered on #OAB and #BPH: similarities and differences. My talk was based on personal experience and that of patients for who I advocate. I welcome the remarks today by Laleh Abedin on these topics at #AUASummit25. @AmerUrological @UrologyCareFdn

No tweet could cover some of the many wonderful highlights of my time at #AUA24 as a #patient and #patientadvocate and, regrettably, there wasn't enough time to take in everything I wanted to see and everyone I wanted to meet. I thank all @UrologyCareFdn for the opportunity to present my story at #PatientPerspectives hosted by @pfizer. I'm optimistic that a sea change is occuring with more advocates communicating with everyone in the urological community to advance the causes of shared informed decision-making and #PatientCenteredCare. @AmerUrological #AUA

Well put, Dr. Jonathan Haas! ⤵️

Dr. Haas recommends men diagnosed w/prostate cancer get treated at a place that has a multidisciplinary approach. What does that mean? ⭕️Combining MRI PI-RADS score and low PSA density (PSAD) could significantly reduce unnecessary biopsies while still detecting most cancers.

Slowing prostate cancer progression with plant-based nutrition and lifestyle interventions. I have lived with low-risk, early-stage #prostatecancer for thirteen years, and my PSA is lower today than when I was diagosed in 2010. I attribute my overall better health today to drastic lifestyle changes. In this excerpt from the Blue Cure Men's Health podcast, internationally-recognized expert in prostate cancer, urologist Dr. Stacy Loeb, says lifestyle changes (#plantbased nutrition, stress management, exercise) can slow prostate cancer progression, lower PSA, and improve erectile function. Dr. Loeb also says in the full podcast, that "WFPB (whole-foods plant-based) nutrition is associated with a reduced risk of prostate cancer and many chronic diseases."
