The reports of the conditions for migrant children at the border should shock all of our consciences. Those created in the image of God should be treated with dignity and compassion, especially those seeking refuge from violence back home. We can do better than this.

Today, the Old Testament is demoted and even derided by professing Christians. Pastor, in this sad age, I encourage you to preach the OT boldly in 2019. Preach it as Scripture. Preach it as divine truth. Preach it as foretelling the Messiah. Preach it for the glory of God.

When @AT8 officially launched @thewellflorence in spring 2016, they started with 10 people in a living room. By fall of 2016, 40 people were gathering. In fall of 2017, 70 people. Now they average 140 weekly. #FlorenceFactsFromFrye

Whatever needs to be done legislatively and judicially we must stop immigrant families from being ripped apart. This is a moral and spiritual issue for followers of #Jesus. Secure the borders-yes. Immigrate legally-yes. But we are better than this.

When will we focus our attention on the state of our churches? In 1950 the SBC had 27,788 churches, 7,079,889 members, & 376,085 baptisms. Today: 47,544 churches, 15,005,638 members, & 254,122 baptisms.Baptism ratio then 1 per 19 members; now 1 per 59 members. #Fuelthefire
