Discrete or discreet? Latter is more CIA style
To those who seek to create positive change in Cuba - now is the time. The disappointment of failed promises, corruption, and the privileged lives of only a few; seize this opportunity to create the change you desire through a discrete partnership with the CIA.

The GRU hacked into Jared Kushner's iPhone. Dutch military intelligence (MIVD) then recruited a GRU spy who gave them access to the hacked phone. What MIVD discovered was that Kushner had access to two bank accounts --one Azerbaijani, the other Israeli --where Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Emirati ruler Mohammed bin Zayed deposited money. It sounds like a slightly far-fetched episode of "Slow Horses," but it's real. And it proves just how eye-poppingly corrupt this administration was and continues to be as its "special envoy" decides the fate of tens of millions in Europe in the Middle East. Simply incredible reporting by Matthew Cole, drawn from his new book on Kushner. vanityfair.com/story/jared-k…

The debris trucks I photographed yesterday at the East Potomac Golf Course with taped-over logos also went so far as to tape over their license plates. Just re-watched the video I shot of them arriving and noticed that.

“"We, the alumni of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, are writing independently to express our deep moral disappointment in the campaign conduct of fellow alumnus Vivek Ramaswamy." I like a candidate who hasn’t been reprimanded by his high school classmates for being a moral disappointment 23 years after he graduated.

.@GovernorVA suggests @SenLouiseLucas indictment is intended to tip elections in favor of Republicans: ‘Sadly, this timing further erodes the trust the American people deserve to have in the Department of Justice.’
I have read the charging document alleging a series of criminal acts by a member of the Virginia Senate. In our American system of justice, people are presumed innocent until proven guilty, and that is true for Senator L. Louise Lucas. She and her family deserve the opportunity to present their defense and speak to the allegations presented. The timing of this indictment undermines the U.S. Department of Justice’s previously longstanding policy of not taking legal actions — to include indictments or significant investigative steps — close to an election and sadly, this timing further erodes the trust the American people deserve to have in the Department of Justice.

Trumpworld insider and Jan. 6 pardon advocate Julie Kelly says career DOJ prosecutor declined to bring charges against Sen. Lucas despite pressure from then-interim EDVA U.S. Attorney Lindsey Halligan. Seemingly dovetails with @CarolLeonnig’s reporting on Halligan’s role

.@CarolLeonnig: Trump’s personal lawyer Lindsey Halligan was “pressuring and pushing” DOJ prosecutors under her at EDVA to bring charges against Sen. Lucas because she thought it would help the Trump White House in the midterms, per source familiar

It just got much worse. He was a 33-year-old married father. He had never done that stunt before. Whomever decided this was a good idea should face disciplinary action. Our troops are not props. I feel terrible for his wife and kids.

This dude fucked up the USA more than most want to admit - that's why Republicans and MAGA love him so much. He was a piece of shit that fucked over the poor and disenfranchised. His actions amplified the inequity and inequality you see today. He is why MAGA embraces Iniquity.

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios. The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios. Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said. Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior. Read my latest for Axios here: axios.com/2026/10/22/ai-agen…

Re LRT, same thing happened with gay marriage. I saw a reading of the Laramie Project by a lot of TV actors in 2009 at a Hollywood church and Matthew Shepard's mother spoke afterwards. She talked about how most gay-rights activists were focused on jobs/ housing equality...

... but that conservatives latched on to gay marriage as a scare tactic, thereby pushing the issue, causing a conversation about it, and energizing equality-seeking people to support marriage equality and very short order.
