We need to talk about this. Mr Nenshi, with all due respect, the GOLDEN IRONY Of you veering off onto saying this probably costs taxpayers $40M-$50M to get this report. Had you listened to all 9 recommendations the $38.2M spent on the emergency 2024 repair would not have been necessary, neither would the Bearspaw break that’s going to cost $367.4M. And the larger water infrastructure upgrade that is being pursued will cost over one billion dollars. For you to say, ā€œthink about the potholes we could’ve filledā€ The things we could have fixed. That’s the point. You should’ve, you had the chance and now taxpayers are on the hook for at least a dozen hundred million. And yes, the report is clear that you yourself are not at fault but the city manager is and that falls within your administration, which means you need to be tougher and have tougher standards and that when these critical recommendations are made, you listen. Don’t blame the premier for investigating, blame yourself for causing it, costing taxpayers again hundreds of millions of dollars.

šŸ˜‚MARK CARNEY'S LIBERAL CANDIDATE "Exceptional leadership"? Then let's include the part of the rĆ©sumĆ© you left out shall we?! 🚨 Guy Cormier led @DesjardinsCoop when a breach affected nearly 9.7 million people. The federal Privacy Commissioner found failures in safeguards and accountability. Quebec's financial regulator found senior management and the board had failed their duties of prudence and diligence. That deserves an explanation before any congratulations. Seems the Liberal hiring standard is: at least one controversial skeleton in the closet to explain, powerful, wealthy friends, and no idea what groceries cost. He's also listed on Pomerleau's board. Which corporate roles will he leave, and how will potential conflicts be handled? Another financial executive joining Carney is not, by itself, an economic recovery plan or even a path. Canadians need evidence that these people can protect the public interest, not another announcement explaining how impressive they find each other. Sources: priv.gc.ca/en/opc-news/news-… lautorite.qc.ca/en/general-p… pomerleau.ca/en/board-direct…
As former President and CEO of Desjardins, Guy Cormier brings exceptional economic and social leadership. He’s ready to build a stronger future for Laurier—Sainte-Marie, QuĆ©bec, and Canada, with Mark Carney and our Liberal team.

They had a good call on Wednesday 19 August too, on 20 August Carney briefed his cabinet on the deal that had been reached. He then called the Premiers & requested that they put US booze back on the shelves & remove restrictions on US firms bidding on provincial gov contracts. 1 Premier called it begging, some said despite their own reservations they would support the PM’s request, 2 said no way & 1 expressed deep reservations. On 21 August, the 3 Premiers from BC, QC & ON continued to say no. That evening at 10 pm EST, the PM announced he had unilaterally withdrawn the CDN negotiating team citing last minute US (unacceptable) requests. On 22 August he claimed during a press conference that the US suddenly demanded (after his call with a the President on Wednesday & presumably before he cancelled the talks late Friday) things he couldn’t bend on. He mentioned French language rights, cultural interference & an inability to sign future FTA without US permission. No journalist seemed interested in asking why he didn’t just call President Trump directly to address whatever Trump’s negotiators suddenly added as requirements after they had spoken on Wednesday? Why just unilaterally walk away before a head of gov to head of gov call? My take, he couldn’t deliver the 2 critical requirements of putting alcohol back on the shelves in the 7 provinces that have banned their sale & allowing US companies to bid on provincial contracts which was even more important to the US side & didn’t want to be seen as reneging on the deal that he agreed to during his Wednesday call with Trump. There’s a reason why he was all over the map on why he walked away & why refused to show any documentation supporting his allegations nor did he authorize a leak of a document to a trusted journalist to back up his claims. It’s because he was making it up on the fly! Any CDN with more than 2 brains cells should know by now after 11 years of lies by the @liberal_party gov that faith should be limited to religion. When it comes to politics, faith just doesn’t cut it, especially after this PM got caught lying about the deal to open the Gordie Howe bridge just a month earlier.

WOW šŸ‘€ Quebec Premier PSPP just called out Mark Carney for completely making FALSE statements, in a very thoughtful & thorough post on X PSPP is not messing around. And in fact he is putting Quebec first which is what a Premier should be doing. And calling out the Federal Carney government for their lies and condescension. I love this. I suggest you all go read it & translate it if necessary

Municipalities should not wreck this plan by ā€œtaking up the tax room.ā€
We’ve heard what matters to Albertans. Keeping taxes low and making life more affordable. That's why we've reduced the education portion of your property tax bill and frozen the rate for three years. Every municipality in Alberta will now pay the same fair, consistent rate. That certainty matters. It helps families plan their household budgets and gives municipalities the confidence to plan theirs. A special thank you to Mayor Jeromy Farkas @JeromyYYC for his advocacy and willingness to work with us to get this right.

Carney: We are not "picking winners and losers". He's correct. They only pick losers. Cohere: Their BEST model is ranked #210. Came dead last in a coding test. No wonder they don't want to tell Canadians how much of this stinking dead fish they bought with out money.

Daniel is CEO of Koho. BDC or Business Development Bank of Canada a 100% wholly owned Crown corporation of the government has invested in Koho at least 4 times. Daniel recieved millions from taxpayers then complains when people point out Carney's corruption with Cohere. Peace of advice prick, when you are already suckling from the tit of the Liberal government maybe don't draw attention to yourself insulting Canadians trying to hold the government to account.

After 262 days in hospital, Maya is finally going home. Her incredible courage and fighting spirit, and the unwavering love of her family, are an inspiration. Maya, you have amazed us all. May God bless you with continued strength and healing on the road ahead.
262 days. It’s been 262 days since you were airlifted to BC Children’s Hospital. 262 days since we were told, ā€œWe did everything we could, but we don’t think she’s going to make it through the night.ā€ Since then, I’ve watched you fight for every single one of those days. 251 days ago, you opened your eye, moved it, and shifted your leg only to be rushed back for emergency surgery that morning when hydrocephalus set in. 238 days ago, you were extubated and breathed on your own for the first time. 230 days ago, you felt the sun on your face again. 224 days ago, the cranioplasty we had planned turned into yet another emergency when an infection was discovered. 214 days ago, your EVD was finally removed. 213 days ago, you sat on the edge of the bed with a little help, and I wrapped my arms around you for the first time since the morning I left for work before any of this began. 191 days ago, the NG tube came out, and I saw your beautiful face completely clear of tubes and tape. 179 days ago, your prosthetic skull was placed. Your fifth surgery, and the one that finally stuck. After that, things slowly began to feel possible again. 145 days ago, you smiled for the first time (intentionally) while we played thumb war. 140 days ago, I wheeled you off hospital grounds for the very first time. 61 days ago, I heard your voice again. 40 days ago, we celebrated your 13th birthday at the Foo Fighters. And today, today you’re being released. There was never a day I stopped believing we would get here. The road ahead is still long, but this is a milestone no one thought we would reach. Maya, you are the bravest person I know. You are an inspiration to so many people. Giving up was never an option for me, and it clearly never was for you either. You refused to accept the words we heard 262 days ago when you came out of the OR. Look at you, my girl. You blew every expectation out of the water. Thank you to the incredible nurses, doctors, and therapists who walked every step of this with us. Thank you to everyone who supported Maya and our family we could not have done this without each and every one of you. Now it’s time to leave these hospital walls behind and keep moving forward, Maya Bear. I love you forever and always. —Dad ā¤ļø

#BREAKING The Ethics Commissioner told MPs today Carney's screen is run by Carney's own people, he never sees the internal reviews, and he never asked about the Brookfield firms left off the list.

Congratulations to Mark Carney on record-breaking growth in action verbs. While Canadians struggle with rising costs, his government is busy trying to ā€œdeepen,ā€ ā€œstrengthen,ā€ ā€œenhance,ā€ ā€œadvance,ā€ ā€œfoster,ā€ ā€œfacilitate,ā€ ā€œencourage,ā€ ā€œexploreā€ and ā€œsupportā€ future cooperation. Canadians have seen the speeches, summits and verbs. We need action and results, not verbs, nouns or adjectives.

I can never do what Moose does. He’s a modern-day, daily show, for politics. His following & viewership numbers for politics is among the top in the country. Few understand how hard it is to do what he does. A talented one-man army.
It's interesting how Mark Carney is spending money on housing for people in the Dominican Republic... he thinks so little of Canadians.

ā€œDon’t be fooled by the idea that you can send a message with your vote.ā€ Those words from Prime Minister Mark Carney have stayed with me. I find it deeply disappointing to hear our country’s highest elected leader speak that way about a democratic referendum. For decades, Albertans have been asking for meaningful changes to our relationship with Ottawa. And today, we have an opportunity to make our voices heard on one of the most significant questions in our province’s history. I believe Albertans deserve to be heard, to be respected, and to have a genuine seat at the table when decisions about our future are being made. What Ottawa chooses to do with the outcome remains to be seen. And perhaps, someday, Albertans will decide it’s time to build a table of our own. Whatever your convictions, please take the time to understand the question and cast your ballot today. I’ll be voting yes to the nine and Option 2!! October 19th. A historic day for Alberta. #AlbertaReferendum #LetAlbertaDecide #Alberta #October19 #VoteOption2
