Lose and Kyle Whittingham is fired
Yesterday I called Hybe Koreas Bad Boy and I take that back, Bad Boy had nothing but hits and classics lol
Wonder if they have language to deduct royalties to pay off advances and expenses when they bought out certain members contracts from their former agencies?
My thing with Hybe is they keep saying it’s industry standard BUT you’re the largest kpop agency right now with western expansion and artist….. shouldn’t you be setting new standards?
#HYBE affirme que le New York Times attaque la K-pop… mais les fans ne sont pas convaincus par ses explications sur les contrats de #NewJeans k-gen.fr/hybe-affirme-que-le…
All those JYP group Stan’s asking how the girls and their parents could sign that…. Well honey 9 times out of 10 your faves signed something worse judging by this answer 🥴

Overall sad about a loss, but there’s definitely something there with this team.
Fans saying all kpop contracts are restrictive while not caring or pressing for change is why labels will never move. If fans push back and hold their money, artist will feel more secure pushing back and possible unionizing, then eventually larger labels will move to make changes to accommodate due to financial losses which leads to universal industry changes. It’s a group effort sometimes guys but in an industry where they benefit off the back of children’s pain and restriction fans have to help.

The NYT report detailing exploitative minor contracts and perpetual image/AI rights in K-pop shows why international labor & child protection standards urgently need enforcement in the cultural sector. nyti.ms/4eLmX6g

Stephen A. Smith PRESSES Abdul El-Sayed on Abolishing ICE — Then Gets a Firm Answer on Open Borders
Stephen A. Smith: You’ve said the only way forward is to abolish ICE and start from scratch. What does that mean?
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: Let me be clear: I believe we ought to have a safe, secure southern border.
I believe you ought to enforce immigration law, but not through masked men with AR-15s acting against the Constitution.
ICE didn’t exist before this century. It’s not part of the Constitution. ICE is not about immigration. It’s about making a show of immigration and normalising paramilitary force on our streets.
I believe we need to undo it and build a system that enforces immigration law while respecting the Constitution.
Stephen A. Smith: Is there any condition under which you think open borders are acceptable?
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: No. You have to have borders that you can control. There’s no question about that.
People think ICE is about border enforcement, but it’s not. Customs and Border Protection enforces the border. ICE handles immigration enforcement inside the country.
I went to Minneapolis during the height of Project Metro Surge.
Some of the things I saw, I never thought I would see in the United States of America. We can’t allow that to continue.

From one Wolverine to entire @UofMichFootball team I’m stoked to be your honorary captain tomorrow . Just one question - did someone forget to drop off my play book on purpose?
