One of the biggest mistakes I’ve made navigating the social side of X and crypto is assuming other people operate with the same morals and principles I do. Even now, I find myself genuinely disappointed in people, thinking, “How could someone do or say something like that?” Because I know I never would. But that’s where I go wrong. I’m holding others to my own standards and expecting them to think, feel and behave the way I would. I’m still working on this. Sometimes the behaviour I see genuinely gets me down. But I’m learning that I can’t control other people, only how I respond to them. And at the end of the day, this is social media. The challenge is learning to accept people for who they are without allowing their behaviour to change who I am. 🖤
