We just lost another legend today 😔 Emmy-winning voice actor Eric Bauza has passed away suddenly at just 46, his family announced. No further details about his passing have been released at this time. For millions of animation fans, Bauza became one of the defining modern voices of Looney Tunes, taking on the enormous task of bringing characters created generations before him into the present. At different points, he voiced Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety, Marvin the Martian and several other members of the legendary cast. His Looney Tunes performances helped earn him three Emmy Awards. Some of his most memorable roles included: • Puss in Boots — The Adventures of Puss in Boots • Bugs Bunny — Looney Tunes Cartoons • Daffy Duck — The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie • Porky Pig — The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie • Woody Woodpecker — Woody Woodpecker • Master Splinter — Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles • Fozzie Bear — Muppet Babies • Marvin the Martian — Looney Tunes Cartoons • Stimpy — Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon • Tweety Bird — Looney Tunes Cartoons • Amadeus Cho / Iron Spider — Ultimate Spider-Man • Foop / Irep — The Fairly OddParents • Tiger Claw — Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles • Master Frown — Unikitty! • Rodolfo Rivera / White Pantera — El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera Bauza originally entered the animation industry as a character designer before becoming one of its most recognizable voice performers. What made his career remarkable was not simply the number of characters he played, but the trust placed in him to inherit voices as iconic as Bugs, Daffy and Porky while still creating memorable characters entirely his own. Rest in peace, Eric Bauza. He spent his career giving cartoons a voice, and generations of characters will continue speaking with a little piece of him. 🕊️

*Round 3.* The wounded spider rears up for another spray, but you're already moving. You slam the axe down and the gems burst with red light. The webs around you curl into ash, leaving the spiders nowhere to hide. *Round 4.* Now Ryytaa the Ender moves. The floor shakes as she charges, her fangs as long as daggers. As she rears back to strike, you step into her and drive the shield into her face with all your weight behind it. *(Shield Slam: Strength contest. On a success, she's stunned until the end of your next turn, and you have advantage on your next attack.)* The steel rings like a bell, and she staggers. *"Now,"* Vaelric whispers from the axe. You bring the axe down with both hands. The gems blaze so brightly that the whole nest is lit like noon. When Ryytaa the Ender falls, the egg sacs shrivel, the last spiders flee into the cracks in the walls, and the clicking dies. The shield stays strapped to your arm, scarred by venom and dented in the shape of a spider's face. **The Library of Roots** Past the nest, a door of living wood opens at your touch. Inside, shelves carved into the roots hold rows of spellbooks bound in leather and bark, and a few still hum with magic. Vaelric's voice drifts from the axe: *"Take what you can carry. Knowledge is the only treasure that grows."* *(Give the player 1d3 spellbooks or scrolls of your choice.)* **The Desert** At the back of the library, a spiral stair climbs toward a crack of white light. You climb for what feels like hours, until you push through a stone slab and the heat hits you like a wall. Sand stretches to every horizon, rippling gold beneath a blazing sun. The labyrinth is behind you. The axe whispers one last time: *"Now the real journey begins."*
42
The smell of death and decay fills your nose and throat. A warm wind brushes your skin, though there should be no wind down here. Then something hairy and jointed reaches out of the dark toward you. Your torch sputters. Your heart sinks. *Make a Dexterity check.* (On a success:) You drop into a crouch, smother the flame, and spot a gap beneath the webbing where the strands are loose enough to crawl through. You slip under them on your belly, silk brushing your neck, and keep crawling until the passage opens. **The Hollow Chamber** You emerge into a round room that feels less built than grown. The walls curve up like the inside of a great hollowed tree, ridged with bark and knotted roots that twist into the ceiling. Thorny bushes sprout from cracks in the floor, their leaves pale from never seeing sunlight. Webbing stretches from root to root, sagging under its own weight. At the center stands the dead trunk itself, split open down the middle like a doorway. You need a weapon. Searching the room, you find a skeleton slumped against the roots, still in dented plate armor. Across its lap lies a two-handed steel axe, its haft set with gems of ruby, sapphire, and emerald that glitter even in the dark. You lean down and lift it. Power floods up your arms. *(New power: once per encounter, the gems flare and the axe deals extra radiant damage, burning away webbing within 10 feet.)* Then a voice whispers from the blade: *"You will not perish here. Listen, and I will guide you through this catastrophe."* Look over the rest of the skeleton. *Make an Investigation check (DC 12).* (On a success:) The straps of its breastplate have rotted through, and the pauldron on its left shoulder comes loose in your hand. It's a curved slab of steel, dented but solid, about the size of a small shield. You loop the old leather strap around your forearm. *(Improvised shield: +1 AC, and it unlocks Shield Slam.)* You swing the axe before the hollow tree, and the trunk answers. A red glow pulses from deep inside it, and you stumble back a step. A ghost rises out of the light, and it has the same shape as the skeleton at your feet. Its face is gaunt and its eyes burn, and it hovers over you with a presence so heavy that sweat runs down your forehead. Your knees hit the floor. *"I am Vaelric, last warden of this place,"* it says. *"My axe has chosen you. Carry it where I could not. Ryytaa the Ender nests beyond. Kill her, take what I guarded, and walk out into the light."* The ghost raises a hand, and the back of the tree splits open, revealing a tunnel. **The Nest** The tunnel ends in a cavern draped in webs, and the floor is littered with egg sacs as big as barrels. Clicking echoes from every direction. Four giant spiders drop from the ceiling on silk lines, and behind them Ryytaa the Ender unfolds, the brood mother herself, as big as a cart, with venom dripping from her fangs. *Roll initiative.* *Round 1.* The first spider lands right in front of you, its eight eyes shining red in the axe's glow. Its abdomen clenches, its fangs spread wide, and a wet, gurgling sound rises from its throat. It's about to spray venom straight at your face. *Make a Dexterity saving throw (DC 13).* (On a success:) You throw yourself sideways, and the venom spatters across the stone where your head just was, hissing as it eats into the rock. (On a failure:) It catches you across the cheek; take poison damage, and you have disadvantage on your next attack. (If the player has no shield yet:) As you roll, your hand lands on a curved piece of plate half buried in the webs. You snatch it up just as the spider spits again, and the venom splashes off the steel. *(The player gains the improvised shield now.)* *Round 2.* You come up swinging. The axe bites into the spider's leg and takes it off, and the spider shrieks and backs away. Two more spiders scuttle down the walls to flank you. *Attack, or brace your shield (the attacking spider has disadvantage).*

Legendary Creator and Voice Actor Seth MacFarlane Turns 53! 🎙️🎬🎉 MacFarlane has built an entire comedy universe around voices of his own creation. On Family Guy alone, he performs Peter Griffin, Stewie Griffin, Brian Griffin, Glenn Quagmire, Carter Pewterschmidt, Tom Tucker, and Dr. Hartman, while American Dad! adds Stan Smith and Roger to an already enormous lineup. Beyond television animation, he also brought the foul-mouthed teddy bear Ted to life across two films and the television series. Some of his most notable roles include: • Peter Griffin (Family Guy) • Stewie Griffin (Family Guy) • Brian Griffin (Family Guy) • Glenn Quagmire (Family Guy) • Ted (Ted / Ted 2 / Ted) • Stan Smith (American Dad!) • Roger (American Dad!) • Captain Ed Mercer (The Orville) • Mike (Sing) • Albert Stark (A Million Ways to Die in the West) • Johann Krauss (H*llboy II: The Golden Army) • Tim the Bear (The Cleveland Show) • Emperor Palpatine (Robot Chicken: Star Wars) • Max Chilblain (Logan Lucky) • Ziggy (Tooth Fairy) • Carter Pewterschmidt (Family Guy) • Tom Tucker (Family Guy) • Dr. Elmer Hartman (Family Guy) • Jeff McGarland (Phineas and Ferb) • Ensign Rivers (Star Trek: Enterprise) What makes MacFarlane’s voice work especially impressive is how many distinct personalities he can sustain within the same show, shifting from Peter’s booming cluelessness to Stewie’s theatrical precision, Brian’s dry delivery, and Quagmire’s rapid-fire energy. At 53, Seth MacFarlane has turned his voice into one of the most recognizable sounds in adult animation while continuing to move between comedy, live action, music, film, and television. 🎙️✨
