Manufacturing is coming home. Mississippi is ready. As companies rethink supply chains and bring production closer to U.S. customers, Mississippi is standing out. Based on first-quarter 2025 data, Mississippi ranked No. 3 nationally for projected reshoring and foreign direct investment jobs, representing 12,084 projected jobs. That position is backed by the fundamentals companies need to compete: prepared sites, skilled workers, strategic infrastructure and speed-to-market. For companies considering reshoring manufacturing and U.S. manufacturing investment, Mississippi is ready for what comes next. Today, I announced 167 Rural Health Transformation Program awards totaling more than $104 million. When we began this work, we set out to do more than simply invest in the healthcare system we already have. We set out to transform how rural Mississippians access care – bringing more services closer to home, strengthening the providers and facilities that rural communities depend on, and using technology and innovation to better connect patients to care across our state. Today, we are beginning to see that vision become reality.
