Today we welcomed ‘Braintree Rugby Club’ 🏉 from their flat native Essex!
Prop forwards (especially) had to be carefully distributed in canoes and rafts !!!!
So well done to the 90 odd players and coaches who set off at 6am to get stuck into some proper outdoor action.
We welcomed John Flamstead school to Matlock yesterday - this was the first school trip to exceed 100 pupils in 2024.
Certainly a great opportunity for us to warm up our organising skills before the busy summer begins.
Wonderful support from school staff and such a pleasant group
Not a moment wasted!
3 days of truly outstanding work with @CulfordSchool Knowing the capabilities of their 6th form cohort, the school leaders had specifically tasked us with “stretching, pushing and challenging their students”

Acclimbatize benefits enormously from having staff involved in local rescue teams.
A commitment to continuous training and ‘call outs’ when people are most in need, is not something everyone could dedicate themselves to.
Fund raising is one way we can support their crucial work

UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE!
These PhD students from Cambridge were a suitable intellectual match for our gifted and talented instructors. 🤓
A timely reminder that education is important but adventures are more importanter
Balancing the risks - this group of new entries at @Culford 6th form have spent the last 3 days really getting to know each other

The transition to our summer programme begins this week.
During the months of July & August we begin working on youth development programmes (NCS), summer schemes and private holiday bookings.
There’s also a mix of scouts, cadets and corporate’s in the mix

“Our children need to be a little bolder and braver”
In recent assessments, too many were worried about answering questions they weren't 100% on.
Turning above aims into personal challenges outside the classroom; to improve confidence inside the classroom. That’s what we do!
What a lovely Monday surprise…..
This is what makes our job extra special… knowing that we have helped these students make important memories and life long experiences..

The adventure walk was new this year. @Acclimbatize took us down by the river. We walked over bridges, across stepping stones in the water, up and down steep steps and of course through a lot of mud. It was great fun and beautiful scenery @RackhamPrimary
