Audit is one of the most dangerous job in the corporate space... You are either heavily hated or loved.
And if you are loved as an auditor , you are corrupt and definitely not doing your job well.
A new employee joined our company and immediately started correcting everyone, including the CEO.
During his first meeting, he pointed out that a quarterly figure had been altered from the original report.
CEO: “Are you suggesting someone manipulated the numbers?”
Employee: “I’m saying they don’t match the source documents.”
He soon questioned duplicate supplier payments and misleading expense reports. Management called him arrogant, and after he challenged the department head, he was suspended for insubordination.
Instead of apologizing, he requested an independent audit.
Three days later, external auditors arrived. Senior employees surrendered their devices, the department head took sick leave, and two finance managers disappeared from work.
By Friday, the CEO gathered everyone.
