If someone owes you $50, but recovering it costs more than walking away, how much protection do you really have?
That’s the question GenLayer’s film left me thinking about. We often talk about justice being available. Being able to afford it and receive a decision while it still matters is another thing.
GenLayer’s approach brings independent AI validators into that process to evaluate evidence and reach consensus.
For me, the meaningful upgrade is making disputes worth resolving, even when the amount at stake is small. Faster decisions matter, but so does the ability to challenge a wrong one.

Slow. Expensive. Wrong.
It's been this way for centuries. It doesn't have to be.

Why GenLayer’s $GEN and Staking Updates Matter
I have been following GenLayer’s recent posts about $GEN and staking. What caught my attention is how the token connects the people using the network, building applications and validating decisions.
The October 27 tokenomics announcement explains three roles: validators stake GEN to participate in judging cases, users pay GEN for the computation and validation behind those decisions, and builders earn GEN when their contracts are used. That gives the token a purpose across the network’s activity.
Imagine a disagreement over whether an agreed task was completed. Processing the evidence and reaching a verdict requires resources. GEN connects payment for that work with incentives for the people providing it.
Then comes the pre-mainnet staking programme announced on November 2. It covers the period between GEN’s arrival, which GenLayer calls “THE DAY,” and mainnet. Participants accumulate one Staking Point per GEN per day.
For example, 1,000 GEN staked for 30 days would produce 30,000 points. Eligible unclaimed airdrop allocations also accumulate points while locked, starting from the programme’s opening.
These points have a specific purpose. The leaderboard determines who receives validator seats initially backed by the Foundation’s GEN at mainnet. Staking Points should therefore be understood as a ranking mechanism, rather than a promised percentage return.
For me, this is the interesting connection: the tokenomics explains how participation is rewarded, while pre-mainnet staking helps establish who will participate as validators.
The real test will be whether useful applications generate sustained demand for those decisions. That is what I will be watching as @GenLayer moves toward mainnet.

We've partnered with @verantaxyz.
For 30 days, Veranta pays for your AI agent. Get your office on Veranta land, pick a ready-made Veranta agent or write your own, and watch it work.
You only fund its trades, and that money stays in your wallet.

Finally was able to pass this account challenge in 5 days
62 trades were taken in total
48 win and 14 losses
58 trades were prediction mostly football, I have seen @NDIDI_GRAM saying something about moving $50 to $1000 on Polymarket from mostly football prediction and now I believe it is real, then 4 trades were Perp.
I know most people might ask, why the so much trade
Simple answer I decided to play it safe, the hight amount i used per trade is $40, but mostly $10 and $5 per trade/prediction
Well now we got the account lets go get the real money.
P.S I am already seeing many complaining that @cashedfun is delaying their payout, I just hope it doesn't happen to me
Well, if you know any propfirm account that deals with both prediction market and Perps and are very reputable, please refer me, drop them or tag me in the comment
opay selling at $4 billion FDV is diabolical
Bigger than most of the banks in Nigeria
I think it was $SPCX that invented this high FDV mentality for most company
Bought 6 funded account on @cashedfun propfirm
4 lost and 2 still active, Hoping to make it all back on this one
Hey cashed, i think I deserve a free account at this point
Exactly
Because tell me how they can be able to do things others can do
And yet they tell us mobile phones are not allowed in the country
The more I build on @GenLayer, the more I realize that creating an application is one thing, but building something people can actually trust is another.
Recent Internet Court conversations really got me thinking.
Dr. Joel Hillier of Certisyn discussed AI verification and why understanding a system's limitations matters just as much as its capabilities.
Albert Castellana's conversation with economist Robin Hanson also explored AI agents, decision-making and the future of the agentic economy.
And with GenLayer crossing 1 million decisions processed, it's exciting to see the progress being made.
But beyond the numbers, one question stands out to me:
Are we building applications people can truly depend on?
I shared my thoughts in this week's video. 👇
