๐ŸฅŠ ESCARREGA vs ALSAGHIR #DWCS BEST BET ๐Ÿ“‰ UNDER 1.5 ROUNDS ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/DWCS081126 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "Clips of Escarrega grappling are rare, though he seems at least moderately capable, though I'd expect Alsaghir to do much better work on the canvas. That's not enough for me to feel confident in either side of this matchup, though. Instead, I'm taking the under 1.5 rounds in what I expect to be a car crash of a fight. Alsaghir is more athletic and could certainly land an early home run; Escarrega could overwhelm him with volume, or we could see some wild grappling exchanges. Neither man has ever really been pushed or tested defensively, so odds are somebody will crack." -@Psychoward586

๐ŸฅŠ GAMROT vs SALKILLD UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ“‰ FIGHT DOES NOT GO THE DISTANCE ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/GAMROTSALKILLD080826 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "Salkilld is the younger and more explosive athlete, offers more variety and volume at distance, and has proven himself against grappling-first fighters (while sometimes outwrestling them). Moreover, given how he has paced in his UFC decisions, along with the five-round regional experience, I'm not particularly concerned about his gas tank, especially against an opponent nearly a decade his senior. The age/experience tradeoff typically favors the younger fighter; when there is at least an eight-year age gap between MMA opponents, younger fighters win around 69% of the time at average odds closer to -118 or 54% implied; roughly 15% above expectation. MMA is a young man's game; older fighters are more well known, and draw more public betting attention as a result. I projected Quillan Salkilld as a -142 favorite, and I would consider taking his moneyline pre-fight to around -140. Still, you can also wait for a better number live, after he potentially gets outgrappled in the opening round. I project the fight to end inside the distance near two-thirds of the time (-200 implied odds), and you can bet the fight to end by finish, up to -185." -@SeanZerillo

๐ŸฅŠ FERREIRA vs QUARANTILLO UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ“‰ FIGHT DOES NOT START ROUND 3 ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/DFBQ080826 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "I'm more or less in line with the market on the moneyline here. Ferreira deserves to be favored, but it's easy to see how it could go wrong given his questionable chin, and Quarantillo's superior minute winning thanks to his superior volume and accuracy. It's also at least somewhat likely that a now 41-year-old has fallen off a cliff athletically since we last saw him a year ago. Rather than pick a side, I'm betting on one of these fighters durability to fail them once again. The Under 2.5 rounds prop is juiced up to -154, but the fight to not start Round 3 is just -120 odds at DraftKings. They're giving this fight a relatively high implied odds of ending in Round 3, but stoppages are typically more likely early in fights when both fighters are fresh. Given the huge question marks surrounding both men's chins, as well as their aggressive styles, ten minutes should be more than enough to settle this one." -@Psychoward586

๐ŸฅŠ ALIEV vs DAVIS UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ MIKE DAVIS +3.5 POINT SPREAD ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/DAVISUFC072526 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "While it's always hard to handicap Davis given his extended time off between fights, this sets up as a matchup where Aliev needs to "fight clean" for 15 minutes, and a big moment or two from Davis could swing the fight. That could come by way of a stoppage or by swaying the judges in an otherwise close round โ€” though I worry about some local favoritism for "The Tajik Eagle" in his home region. On top of that, I'm also betting Davis' +3.5 point spread. He could cash this ticket with one big exchange, as all he would need to do is win one round and make it the full 15 minutes to cover that spread, while an outright win also gets it done." -@Psychoward586

๐ŸฅŠ DU PLESSIS vs USMAN UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ DRICUS DU PLESSIS BY KO/TKO ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/DDPUFCOKC ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "Usman may have the superior gas tank and could offer the superior optics down the stretch in a technical fight; DDP does well to fight through exhaustion as his fights extend, but he also doesn't present the best body language for the cageside judges when scoring his bouts. Usman has as much championship round experience as anyone on the roster. However, Du Plessis has also repeatedly outperformed technical expectations and beaten the eye test. His striking isn't especially clean technically, but he's extremely difficult to prepare for because of his rhythm, pressure and willingness to throw from unusual positions. He's one of the rare fighters whose process often looks worse than his results. Moreover, I strongly prefer DDP's youth and durability to those of an aging opponent who has shown durability concerns late in his career and is coming off a one-year layoff." -@SeanZerillo

๐ŸฅŠ CANNONIER vs DUNCAN UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ JARED CANNONIER +3.5 POINT SPREAD ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/CANNONIERUFCOKC ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "It seems that the market largely still believes in the chin of Cannonier, with the over/under 2.5 rounds in this fight favored at -166 to the over. That feels important, since a short fight almost certainly benefits Duncan. I'm banking on the veteran Cannonier to steal at least a round here (while surviving to the final bell) and taking his +3.5 point spread at +120 odds. Between his leg kicks and grappling threat, he should be able to secure one of the latter two rounds should he make it that far. Additionally, I'm interested in betting on Cannonier over 0.5 takedowns (+120)." -@Psychoward586

๐ŸฅŠ FIZIEV vs TORRES UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ“ˆ OVER 1.5 ROUNDS ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/UFC062726 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "I prefer Fiziev in an extended fight; he has shown both versatility and the ability to implement a game plan against opponents and has sustained success both at striking distance and, more recently, taking opponents down to keep them off-balance (landed four takedowns in his win over Bahamondes). In fact, Fiziev has shot seven takedowns in about 39 minutes of fight time (nearly one takedown attempt per round) since returning from his knee injury; he's become a lot more intentional about mixing in level changes, which can ultimately create openings for his strikes to land. I favor his minute-winning in any extended contest, but suspect you may be able to find a better price on his live moneyline after Round 1. There are too many unknowns on the Torres side to bet against him pre-fight; his wins have been quick and violent, but we don't know if he can fight a measured game plan in a more technical contest, and there's a chance that his gastank or durability fails at him some point if it extends, anyway." -@SeanZerillo

The over 0.5 is set at -150, which I'd be happy to bet ordinarily. However, if Pereira gets exactly one takedown, it probably means he finished Magomedov on the ground, which would cash our juicier bet. Instead, I'm taking Pereira to land 2+ takedowns at +165. Magomedov has been taken down multiple times in half of his UFC fights, and two of the three men to do so were former kickboxers, while the third averages 0.34 takedowns per 15 minutes in his UFC career. Pereira is easily the best grappler he's faced, so getting significant plus-money there feels like a steal." -@Psychoward586

KAPE WITH THE COMEBACK KO ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Manel Kape likely trailed 2-0 and puts out Kyori Horiguchi in R3 by KO (+200), cashing @SeanZerillo's best bet ๐Ÿ’ฐ
๐ŸฅŠ KAPE vs HORIGUCHI UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡น MANEL KAPE MONEYLINE ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/KAPE062026 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "While both men can compete in all facets of MMA, the expected outcome seems to be a relatively binary striker vs. grappler clash, with Kape winning if the fight stays standing and Horiguchi winning if he's able to implement his grappling. Kape was victimized by his own lack of output in his first two UFC fights, but he's flipped the switch in recent performances and has become far more aggressive in inflicting damage upon and looking to finish his opposition. Horiguchi will use his ringcraft and karate background to measure those blitzes (63% striking defense), but if he doesn't get this fight to the ground, it seems only a matter of time before Kape catches him with a big combination on the feet in the smaller, 25-foot APEX cage, where Horiguchi has less space to retreat." -@SeanZerillo

If he's able to deny Cutelaba's takedowns and/or survive a trip to the mat, he should pull away easily as the fight goes on. Another benefit to his smooth striking is that it doesn't take much energy and allows him to maintain the pace throughout the fight. When Stirling does finish fights, it's usually due to an accumulation of damage rather than a big shot. His two UFC/DWCS knockouts came with 63 and 52 significant strikes landed, and those were the two lowest striking totals of his career. Cutelaba is a bit of a glass cannon, but most of his knockout losses have come to big power punchers (Khalil Rountree, Kennedy Nzechukwu, and Magomedov Ankalaev being the three). I'm not sure that Stirling has the ability or desire to throw the heavy shots necessary to finish Cutelaba quickly, which means a Stirling win likely comes later in the fight." -@Psychoward586

๐ŸฅŠ RODRIGUEZ vs AMIL UFC FIGHT NIGHT BEST BET ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ CHRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ 2+ TAKEDOWNS ๐Ÿ‘‡ Apply Directly To Your Betslip bit.ly/CEEROD062026 ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ "Part of the reason I'm siding with Rodriguez to win is that he traditionally does well against fighters who bring the fight to him. And though his reactive shots should be able to score on a fighter as aggressive as Amil (who has under-average takedown defense stats), it's the footsweeps I mentioned in the previous section that quietly score for Rodriguez with the statisticians. Add in the fact that this fight takes place in the smaller octagon of the Apex โ€“ an environment that encourages action and grappling alike โ€“ and I suspect that newfound Xtreme Couture member in Rodriguez will be going for takedowns early and often, given the opportunities Amil will offer up to him." -@DanTomMMA
