The trauma of these indefinite sentences doesn’t end at the prison gates. The psychological torture of IPP sentences continues to kill. This injustice must end. How many more people have to die before this historical injustice is truly fixed? #IPPScandal #IPPPrisoners #Justice

The UK needs to end its obsession with prisons | Three quarters of prisons are overcrowded, meaning that in practice rehabilitation takes second place to warehousing inmates in cells where they can be kept for up to 23 hours a day: national.thelead.uk/p/the-uk…

Last week, Yahyaa received devastating news. A childhood friend from his town took his own life. He was an IPP prisoner, released on licence that had just ended. After years of imprisonment, he was left lost, alone, and forgotten. The #IPPscandal continues to destroy lives.

Hi Shirley 😊 My name is Sharon, and I'm campaigning for independent reviews before anyone is repeatedly recalled to prison on licence — especially when there's no new offence. Right now people can be sent back again and again without anyone independently checking if it's actually needed. Our prisons are so overcrowded people get released early just to make space, then recalled in huge numbers — it's doubled from 24,000 to nearly 48,000 a year. My story has been published in Kent Local News and will feature in KentOnline and the Medway Messenger soon. We've reached over 200 signatures in just over 2 weeks — families across the UK are saying this is happening to them too. I'd love to know if you'd be able to share this story or help amplify our call for fairer recalls. It's about giving people a voice and making sure the system is fair. 📰 Article: kentlocalnews.co.uk/rocheste… ✍️ Petition: petition.parliament.uk/petit… Thank you so much for your time and all the important work you do. I really appreciate it 💛 — Sharon
