I hate building frontends with AI.
Claude, Codex, and Kimi can generate a dashboard in 30 seconds. Then I spend the next six hours explaining that the main button is invisible, the table breaks on mobile, and every screen looks like the same pile of rounded cards.
I've installed the design skills. I've fed it screenshots from Linear and Stripe. I've used the “premium, minimal, Apple-level” prompts.
It helps. It never removes the babysitting.
AI is incredible at writing frontend code. It is still terrible at knowing when a product feels cheap, confusing, or annoying to use.
One-shot AI frontend design is a lie.
The first 70% takes 30 seconds.
The last 30% ruins your Saturday.
I work in a remote office and it’s wild how many people use @OpenAI for literally everything.

Will also pin this tweet to my profile for added visibility for your startup!
Replying to @ClarionSupport
@ClarionSupport tenants from 60 Vernon Road, William Beveridge House have been assaulted by kids in the area breaking into our apartment block. Setting fire alarms off, intimidating residents, wasting fire fighters time (multiple call outs). We need your assistance to stop this.
@ClarionSupport witnessed this yesterday again, they broke into @AnytimeFitness below the building also. Reference codes are available above provided by Gabriela. When can we expect security for the building?

How do I create a Product Strategy when all the CEO gives me is a revenue target?
Lots of people have been asking me this recently, so let's get into it. A thread 🧵

Is it possible to improve something (culture, team, usability, shipping speed...) without measuring it first? Is it then possible to “just know” that it has improved?
Assume we’re mainly interested in improving it (Impact). Proving that we improved it (Optics) is not a priority.

Give yourself full permission to interview your future managers back. When they ask "Do you have any questions for me," take the opportunity to expose what your next 1+ years under this person might be like.
Here are 5 questions I have or wished I'd asked of my future managers:

I'm at $60 MRR now.
Struggling to even get to $100 MRR.
It's demotivating. It's tough.
Then I remembered 99% of the world had not even earned a dollar from the internet.
I'm already way ahead of the 99%. That made me feel better.
So should you, fellow founder.

(this might be useful if you are a product manager, product leader, or founder)
“Don’t be afraid to reveal yourself. What you’ll find, over and over again, is that there is always more that connects us than separates us.” #Thanks for sharing your story and so many others @joulee
I’m Asian-American, and proud of it. It wasn’t always this way.
Writing this piece helped me sort through many knots in my personal history. I hope it helps you better understand what some of us experience this API heritage month. link.medium.com/7BOjx7hltgb

Managing is designing.
Except instead of designing products, interfaces or services, you are designing how a group of people can create something more together than apart.
Which people are needed? Who should do what? How do folks collaborate?
These are design questions.

7 productivity recommendations by @elonmusk:
1) Excessive meetings are the blight of big companies and almost always get worse over time. Please get of all large meetings, unless you’re certain they are providing value to the whole audience in which case keep them very short.
