Troopers in Pierce County are dealing with an overturned semi that was loaded with live chickens on NB I-5 near Mounts Road (DuPont area). With hundreds of chickens across the roadway, traffic is getting by in the left lane while the scene is being cleaned up.

This morning, our crews removed a giant stuffed sloth “Slothy” from a tree 70 ft up along I-5 in Bellingham.
Yes, really. It took a break in the weather, a 125-ft bucket truck & some true skills.

We've reopened SR 112 in Clallam County and SR 106 in Mason County. A portion of SR 109 in Grays Harbor County remains closed due to high water.
We're down to just 3 roads still closed on the Olympic Peninsula.
Clallam: SR 112 at Pysht Valley
Mason: SR 106 near Purdy Cut-Off Rd
Grays Harbor: SR 109 north of Ocean Shores
All other state roads are open. Take it slow & watch for standing water, especially on coastal routes.
