I'm porting Meiji Sampler to the Akai MPC Sample via custom firmware. If you thought a TUI was limited, try reducing it to 320x240px 😅 I have to review all ~108 variations of each screen's states. So in Codex, I whipped up a small app enabling me to quickly opine on all permutations, log feedback, apply it, then re-render all 108 (using keyboard nav ofc) I'm calling this pattern the "UI State Atlas". I'm going to start doing this for all my projects going forward. If you can do it for music equipment, you can definitely do it for web & mobile apps.

Has anyone gotten their Dots agent talking to their Hermes agent yet? Wondering what's a good approach here..

It seems y2k digital cameras are back, who knew .. saw 2 vendors selling my old Canon PowerShot S2 IS from 2005 for $60-300 CAD. Time to bring back blurry photos and AA batteries?

I gave Astra a very ambitious cleanup goal overnight. It ran for 4.5h and did a fantastic job of the BE! Something both Fable and Sol struggled with for weeks. Truly next gen. But it totally hosed the FE and replaced the UI with 1 single plain HTML form 🙈 Truly the worst. > I treated “clean solution from first principles” as permission to simplify the interface too. That was the wrong interpretation. It threw the baby out w the bathwater, BUT with 1 prompt and 20m it totally restored it. In the end super happy but man, gotta watch out for how you frame the problem because it will achieve the goal by any means necessary. Prompt engineering is back.

took a few days to fully connect the dots on subagent orchestration in @herdrdev, but now have Fable in claude spawning Terra (med) via codex + omp subagents in parallel panes, w/o blocking the claude session so I can fire off async prompts without denting the Fable quota 🤘
