When we moved to Michigan, I resisted. I did not want to be here. But every time I stepped into the backyard, nature accepted me, until my resistance broke into all kinds of wonder-full pieces. Feeling inspired by @adalimon's #youarehere. sarahzwickle.com/2023/10/25/… – at Plummer Additional, Ontario
Appreciated the update on #weekendedition 's Will Shorts, @ayesharascoe...I'd love to send him a postcard as my wife and I have been listening to the puzzle for over a decade. Is there an address we can send one to?

Searches are tough. Presidential searches are worse. They come with huge risk to decision makers and to the candidate. But their central risk is to the community the candidate would lead.

What embattled MSU board chair Rema Vassar already admitted has put the school's accreditation in jeopardy, the responsible administrator said Thursday.
Losing accreditation would threaten MSU's federal funding and ability to offer students financial aid.

I shed many tears while typing up these heart-wrenching text messages sent and received by UNC students yesterday. Our campus was on lockdown for more than three hours.
Beyond proud of this cover and the team behind it.

The snow is gone mid-February, melted away too early. The earth is left bare and vulnerable, in grief for what it lost too soon. It is the same feeling for many of us in East Lansing today. And so, a poem. sarahzwickle.com/2023/02/15/…
My @MSUCSUS survey research class talked about this study today. One topic (among many) was how shocking the "peer review" process by @BioMedCentral is. Everyone loses with bad science, not just @msuresearch. bmcinfectdis.biomedcentral.c…
Antivaxxers love surveys. This time @BioMedCentral Infectious Diseases somehow published a truly awful one by an economist named Mark Skidmore that claims that #CovidVaccines have killed nearly 300,000 people. respectfulinsolence.com/2023…

Sometimes, being at an edge is freeing, shifting. Michigan is encircled with edges where water and sand have been in constant, creative motion for 350 million years. I camped there for a bit. sarahzwickle.com/2022/12/09/…

Many people in the U.S. will give thanks for and eat a beautiful variety of foods. Might be turkey or tres leches, baba ganoush, mac 'n cheese, or roasted pumpkin and wild rice. Then, leftovers. Let's imagine how to care for all we have left over. sarahzwickle.com/2022/11/22/…
