Australia used to perform a war cry- which would have sent shivers through Great Britain teams- at the start of every match on Kangaroo Tours for many years. Here are the 1967 Kangaroos performing this menacing act for the last time ever. Third test, Swinton. Aus 11-GB 3. #TRLV

Today is the National Day for the Victims of Communism. Communism killed more than 100 million people in the 20th century. This memorial, The Memorial to the Victims of Communism in Prague, powerfully captures what communism does to the human person.

In 1950, the average Cuban was almost twice as rich as the average Taiwanese person. Today, the average Taiwanese person is about 7 times richer than the average Cuban. North and South Korea started from the same place when the country was split in 1945. Today, South Koreans are about 26 times richer than North Koreans. One side went communist, and the other went with free markets... Source: Maddison Project Database 2023. Photos: Wikimedia Commons.

This Labor government certainly understands how to create incentives for illegal businesses. Federal and state governments are forever looking for ways to increase tax revenue but there’s something they seem to overlook: keep raising taxes and eventually you encourage people to avoid them altogether. The ATO estimates Australia’s alcohol tax gap reached $1.234 BILLION in 2024–25. That’s potentially $6.17 BILLION over five years if the annual shortfall remains unchanged. Meanwhile, Treasury has reportedly downgraded expected spirits tax revenue by another $2.3 billion over four years. Tobacco was the warning and now alcohol is following along for the ride. At what point do governments recognise that higher tax rates don’t necessarily mean higher tax collections? You cannot tax your way to prosperity while driving legitimate businesses out of the market.

Swap out Washington for Canberra and add 50 years.
Milton Friedman: “The Great Depression was not produced by a failure of business. On the contrary, it was produced by a failure of government.” “The Federal Reserve will not fail in the same way again. This time it will fail in a different way. This time it has been failing, not by producing a Great Depression, but by producing an inflation.” “Just as you will hear the story that it was business that was responsible for the Depression, so you will today hear the story that it is labor and management that are responsible for inflation.”

They should honestly just plug emtire movies from the 80s into Ai and update them. It would be better than the slop they put out today.
Imagine watching the original Star Wars trilogy with 2026 visual effects. The younger generations deserve to experience this (and the older ones too). @Disney @starwars, make it happen!

The NDIS is an atm for criminals. Everyone involved knows. It needs a complete overhaul NOW.
This NDIS boss bought a million dollar Ferrari. His company collapsed owing $6.8 million including nearly $500,000 to employees. And now he’s overseas in Zimbabwe. Anyone stealing from taxpayers and disabled Australians belongs in jail. Every last one of them. I will keep exposing all these people one by one 🫡

The Russell Brand rape/sexual assault charges were mentioned during a Seven News Update last night and presumably in bulletins as well. It probably shows just how high of a priority 7Flix is, when Forgetting Sarah Marshall still managed to air last night. tvtonight.com.au/2026/11/oop…

One reason politics used to be much more sensible is most politicians (regardless of party) had shared experiences of working very hard in tough jobs or fighting for Australia or both. Deteriorated from 1990s with rise of a frivolous “political” class-who today drive us all mad.

3 Grand Finals by the age of 21. 3 premierships, 4 Origins for NSW, 1986 Kangaroos tour. Canterbury, Halifax, Wests, Easts. Coached Souths. Tremendous player, true character that did so much in the community. Another one from that glory era gone way too soon. RIP Paul Langmack.
