ALT Hi I’m Karmel. I was adopted when I was 6 and this week is important to me and my family as a chance to celebrate that. I had a positive experience with the adoption services I received and they helped with many things like keeping me and my siblings in contact although we were adopted by different families. I also attended many adoption events growing up which helped me meet other adopted children and make friends, and I felt less different.
