Does anyone know if #CaLeg is going to recess soon so I can get to misa?
There will be no documentation of this from any federal agency and no one can recognize them because they are all wearing mask.
But some how some policy makers are still going to ask me "what about the good ones".

🚨BREAKING: A DISTURBING video shows suspected ICE agents holding a man face down on the ground… before one agent STEPS ON HIS NECK/HEAD with all his body weight.
In the video, multiple agents roll the man onto his stomach and hold him down.
Then one agent puts his foot directly on the man’s neck/head.
And he doesn’t just briefly step on him...
He pulls his OTHER LEG OFF THE GROUND, putting his full body weight onto the man’s neck/head… then SHAKES HIS LEGS, applying even more pressure.
This is absolutely horrifying.
A person is already restrained, face down and being held by multiple armed agents.
There is NO justification for deliberately putting your full body weight onto someone’s head and neck like this.
They aren’t “detaining” someone…
They are deliberately inflicting pain/injury on a person who is already under their control.
And when armed federal agents are willing to do this to someone who is completely restrained…
How much worse is this going to get before someone is held accountable?
This is not normal, and this is not acceptable.
And it is deeply disturbing to watch people, with the power of the federal government behind them, treat human beings like this.
For all the politicians who say "their juat doing their job"

This morning, I was notified of another death in ICE custody. This is the 53th death on ICE’s watch during Trump’s second term.
We must continue to fight for accountability for everyone who has lost a loved one. And it’s time to end the use of all for-profit detention centers.
The sons of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, the Mexican immigrant who was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Houston on July 7, are speaking out about their loss. Ronaldo Salgado told @camiloreports he is living with “a lot of guilt,” wishing he had reached the scene sooner, while his brother, Lorenzo Jr., says he isn't sure he'll “ever accept” that their father is gone.
Salgado Araujo had lived in the U.S. for 35 years. ICE says an agent fired after Salgado Araujo “weaponized” his work van during the encounter, a claim his family disputes. DHS said Salgado Araujo was in the U.S. illegally but admitted the ICE agents who encountered him were initially looking for a different person.

KAMLAGER-DOVE on the latest ICE killings in Maine and Texas: "We’re talking about state-sanctioned murder, okay?" she tells me. "Why they have not stopped the folks that work at ICE, in ICE from killing citizens, neighbors, community members is beyond me. Obviously, full-blown, full-fledged investigation. I actually believe that at this point we should be charging these fools, we should be prosecuting these fools, and they should be going to jail. And we should be defunding all of ICE."

People are dying because of their brown skin. We will work to unelect any politician who continues to make excuses for folks who work at this agency and/or those who profit from immigrant detention.
A person was killed in an ICE-involved shooting in Maine, state official says. It comes days after a man was fatally shot by an ICE agent in Texas.

Despite this tragedy some policy makers will continue to ask "but what about the good ICE officer" when have put legislation in front of them to keep anyone who has worked for the agency out of our communities.
The family of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican national fatally shot by an ICE agent in Houston, is demanding a full investigation, with his son Ronaldo saying 'he did not deserve to die' after ICE claimed the shooting was self-defense reut.rs/4pdw6Zo

Immigrant rights groups in #CaLeg have introduced a significant amount of legislation to protect immigrants because we foresaw what was coming, and it was this.
We don't care if you are tired of hearing it, they are coming for our communities and we are going to fight back
As a member of the Foo delegation we denounce this unauthentic faking the funk pay to play sock check by Lil Mr. E and revock Steyer being called a down foo for one time $50,000 bought socks.
Lil Mr. E must have been on a sick one thinking we wouldn't look at it closely.

“This motion is a smart investment because every dollar recovered goes back into the pockets of workers,” said Daisy Gonzalez, with GWC. “Also, we are in support of using county purchasing powers to support local, responsible businesses.”

Just making an observation on connecting with #LatinoVoters:
#TioBernie was a one time thing because Latino voters wanted to create a cultural connection to the candidate of our choice so we could have those kitchen table conversations with our families.
After bernie all other candidates who used Spanish names or endearment language never got us motivated to go to the polls because it didn't feel natural. In typical Latino fashion you get your nick name from the family or your community regardless of how lousy it is.

Earlier today at the Consulate of Mexico in Los Angeles, the family of Jose Guadalupe Ramos-Solano was asked to share some words about his recent passing last Wednesday while in custody at the Adelanto ICE Processing Center.
This is currently the 14th ICE custody death that we know of.
His wife, Antonia Tobar, spoke briefly in Spanish about the inhumane and painful conditions of her late husband’s death.
According to the family’s lawyer, they have launched a private investigation into the death of Ramos-Solano with the help of the Mexican Consulate.
