As a commission artist, nope. Artists on the internet feel WAY TOO COMFORTABLE running away with people's money. Ghosting for months, years. Only giving updates when pressured.
I treasure my clients with my life. I may fail & delay because I'm human but I will always communicate my status.
Keep asking for news. And if you keep getting ghosted, Paypal has a wonderful feature called chargeback.
IDC. Some artists will hate me for this but I will always stand with the clients. Just because we're freelance doesn't mean we're free of responsibility.
