As someone diagnosed as #dyslexic as an adult, this chimes with my feelings. ‘[d]yslexia [has] caused me to distrust my intelligence which in turn [has] resulted in a lack of faith in my opinion [...] My lack of trust in my judgement [comes] from a fear of making mistakes.’

Just had to ban someone from replying to my Substack. First, the response wasn't a direct response to what I posted; it was them advertising their AI-generated slop. Second, I hate it when people use AI and then pretend like they are generating new knowledge. 1/2

The next oldest doctorate I have found is Noble Frankland's 1951 Oxford DPhil. There is an interesting story to be told here between the link between Frankland's doctorate, the work of the @AHB_RAF, and the official history of the Strategic Air Offensive against Germany.
The earliest thesis I have found is Eugene Emme's 1949 thesis from the University of Iowa on interwar German air power. #airpowerhistory
