When a flight isn’t just a flight — step aboard Lufthansa’s final A340-600 flight as the airline brings 23 years of service to an end. youtube.com/watch?v=fJGlU_zM…

Last month, @united became the largest recipient of Boeing 787s, passing launch customer ANA. Notable for a lot of reasons, but the milestone came 25 years to the month after 9/11, which left U.S. airlines financially unable to take the lead on an all-new Boeing airplane.

The future of freighters is 777.
For decades, the Queen of the Skies has been a powerhouse in moving global cargo. Now, the 777 Freighter is carrying the 747's legacy forward—as the world's most operated widebody freighter and setting the pace for what’s next.
The next-gen 777-8 Freighter is designed to build on the proven capabilities of 777F, bringing greater efficiency to large-payload freighters.

The 737-10 has received FAA certification, marking a major milestone for Boeing and the development team that brought the final member of the 737 MAX family to this point.
✈️Strong fuel efficiency for denser markets
✈️Greater flexibility for airlines serving high-demand routes
✈️Commonality across the 737 MAX family
Congratulations to #TeamBoeing and our partners who developed the 737-10 over many years, and guided it through extensive testing, evaluation and certification. Thank you to our customers who are building the future with the 737-10 and 737 MAX family.

More from the @Delta One event: the new seat has an absolutely MASSIVE screen. And with an 83-inch flat bed, built-in mattress pad, and generous bedding, they’re focusing hard on the sleep experience.
Other partnerships of note: Blanton's bourbon, DASSAI sake, Bombas socks, Missoni amenity kits, Cowgirl Creamery cheese. Some are new partnerships, others are expansions of existing partnerships.
Our takeaway from the event is that the updates -- while not revolutionary or surprising -- seem thoughtful, tasteful, cohesive, and fun. @Delta generally does have a good finger on the pulse of what both frequent flyers and aspirational premium cabin travelers value.
We're excited to see how the updated seat, food, drink, amenities, and service come together inflight.
“The Next Era of Delta One is Here.” That’s how @Delta announced a huge wave of upcoming upgrades for its flagship long-haul business class. The airline showed off its next-gen seat and soft product at a recent media event, and we were there. Let us fill you in!
The updates at the event were all about the inflight experience.
Delta already has a ground game to match, in the form of its first few flagship Delta One lounges. We’ve visited the NYC location and came away VERY impressed. That’ll be its own story.

If you need to travel between the Pacific Northwest hubs of Seattle and Portland, a number of options can get the job done. There’s driving, Amtrak, and of course flying via Alaska or Delta from SeaTac. But there’s also little known SeaPort Airlines.
A small, Part 135 commuter airline, SeaPort operates flights from Portland International Airport (PDX) and Seattle’s close-in Boeing Field (BFI). They also recently started service to Spokane, Washington.
I’ve known about SeaPort for some time, but hadn’t seriously considered flying them until a last minute day trip down to Oregon popped up.
The carrier offers a handful of fare buckets, which differ primarily on change, cancellation and refund fees. Every fare comes with 50 pounds of baggage included. I bought a last-minute ticket at $329, priced exactly equal to a basic economy fare on PDX-SEA for the same day.
I walked up to the PDX “terminal” a half hour before departure on the day of the flight. In Portland, at least, the airline operates out of its own space, which is separate from the main terminal by about a half mile.
The space is small but serviceable, with some lounge-style seating and a small table with self-serve coffee, tea and water. It isn’t anything to brag about, but then its not a space you’re supposed to hang out at for any length of time. With no security to deal with and a maximum of nine other passengers on any given flight, the airline says you can show up as little as 20 minutes before departure.
Check-in was quick and easy; I only had to provide my name. My small backpack was weighed, as all bags are, before the agent added a BFI tag to it. Larger bags were placed in a bag cart right away, while smaller bags like mine could be held onto until boarding.
With all the passengers already checked in, a friendly pilot figured we might as well get to it and walked us out to the plane a little ahead of schedule.
Seating on the aircraft, a Swiss-made Pilatus PC-12, is open. There are nine-seats in a 1-1 configuration, plus space in the rear of the cabin for bags.
Being a small, single-engine airplane, the cabin ceiling is low and the space is a bit cozy. Still, it’s noticeably more roomy than, say, a Cessna Grand Caravan.
