We have distributed $180,000 worth of $150 and $300 payments to more than 600 people impacted by hurricanes Helene and Milton. We still have around $200,000 in requests from 700 more people.

Strengthening Medicare to cover home care for our nation’s seniors and those with disabilities is good for families and our economy—and it is common sense.

Cannot stop thinking about all the disabled people who literally can’t leave. Who will be left for dead in their homes or care facilities or hospitals. Whose demise will be a predictable result of eugenics, ableism, racism, climate denialism, and capitalism. What have we done.

just watched an NBC meteorologist cry on air talking about how terrifying Hurricane Milton is & then the next thing I saw was a woman in the evacuation zone saying she has literally nowhere to go — all the hotels are booked & she doesn’t have a lot of money & has 4 dogs/6 kids.
