I’ve stayed quiet while people have tried to slander my name, but there comes a point where I have to speak for myself. I’ve personally spent over $95,000 of my own money supporting prize pools, funding rosters, helping players travel, and giving organizations the resources they needed to get where they were trying to go. I’ve helped players and rosters that had little to no funding. I’ve paid for team passes, flights, lodging, internet bills, phone bills, and even food for people’s households simply because I knew they were struggling and wanted to help them stay afloat. Even investing in players that are t64 just to gain enough propoints at these events so they can gather enough points for bigger names to pick them up for future rosters and events. Even when organizations couldn’t fully fund their own rosters, I was willing to collaborate with them just to give their organization and players an opportunity to get their name out there, gain exposure, and compete at a higher level. It wasn’t always about what OMNiA could gain..I genuinely wanted to help people grow. I’ve even personally put $100 toward bonus incentives and added additional incentives for online players so that, even if they didn’t win prize money, they could at least walk away with something for their effort. So to have my name dragged over a $100 bonus incentive that was half paid out, especially when the team didn’t even get to play in finals because they FF’d, is incredibly frustrating. I’m not saying I’ve done everything perfectly. But before you judge me or speak on my character, look at the full picture of what I’ve actually put into this scene. So here’s my challenge to any organization owner: Fund a team that has little to no realistic chance of giving you an immediate return on investment. Pay for their flights. Pay for their food. Pay for their lodging. Pay their entry fees. Give them the resources to compete..and do it because you genuinely believe in the players. Then come talk shit about me. Until then, don’t tell me what supporting players and building an organization looks like. I’ve put my money where my mouth is. I’ve given people opportunities when there was nothing guaranteed in return. And I’ll continue doing that for players who deserve the chance.
