JUST IN: South Korean government study reveals paper straws may cause greater environmental harm than conventional plastic straws.
Only £100? That really isn't going to get you very far.
Brits scramble to withdraw cash from ATMs after Labour issues ominous "Be Ready emergency guidance"
Britons withdrew record amounts of cash from ATMs over the weekend with Friday’s average topping £100 after Labour launched its Be Ready campaign.
The guidance followed Defence Secretary Wes Streeting’s warnings about potential cyber attacks and the need for households to prepare for disruptions.
It really does feel like Labour is doing everything they can to distract people from the mess they are making in the UK and sadly so many people are falling for it.
Are you falling for it?

The UK government may not want to release crime data broken down by ethnicity. I have been scraping daily court data to get first and surnames of all people who appeared in court in the country.
This is day 46 here what i found: 🧵

Israelis heard three Druse speaking in Arabic in a Tel Aviv club. They beat them so badly all three were hospitalised. Now the Druse are protesting and blocking roads. Not least because all three were serving in the Israeli military. The Druse are drafted in Israel and often end up in elite formations.
It's quite remarkable that they were attacked in hyper liberal Tel Aviv. But it shows you where Israeli youths are politically. The older generation of politicians often refer to Druse as blood brothers. The younger generation is just rabid.

York cobblestones. 2006 vs 2026.
Well maintained in 2006. Can’t be arsed to maintain properly and just plaster with tarmac patches in 2026. British civic pride decay in a nutshell.

This is Skye. He was lured out of Kruger National Park in South Africa a few weeks ago and illegally killed by JARED WHITWORTH from Kentucky during a safari hunt. Skye’s life was worth more than the amusement of a hunter. It’s time to #BanTrophyHunting once and for all!

It's been reported by the Telegraph that Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered Israel to support Argentina on the Falklands over Britain.
Why should Britain be expected to defend Israel's national interests if Israel's leadership refuses to respect ours?
Britain is not obliged to give any foreign government unconditional political or military support.
Our foreign policy should be guided by British interests, and British interests only - that is the Restore Britain position.
The Falkland Islands are British, and will remain British.

The ILR debate really hits home how far Labour and the unions have drifted from their founding purpose. The main reason there's been a shortage of care workers is because the pay is too low, the work isn't respected, and it's no longer a structured career. Care homes just want minimum wage workers, and they don't care about ability or suitability just so long as they maximise their profit margins.
Labour and the unions should want to correct this, not least to restore dignity for the elderly. Personally I do not want to spend my dying days in a care home tended to by random untrained Africans who are just here to exploit the visa system. Labour should want the care sector to be a viable career and an adequately paid profession, but now wages are so low that you can make the same money working at McDonalds with none of the physical and emotional labour.
Propping the care sector up with low wage immigrant labour so private equity care homes can maximise their profits is more in line with a neoliberal hellscape than anything resembling a Labour run country.
what Bristol Airport aren't saying is the final plan is for 20-23mill by the mid 2030's. That doesn't include decent public transport if we want that they expect WECA/UKG to pony up for it.
Bristol Airport expansion plans:
- 15m passengers a year
- c.5,000 night flights 11.30pm-6am
- lighting on Felton Common
- extra 1,960 parked vehicle spaces
- staff car park for c.1,720 vehicles

20TH NOVEMBER UK PROTESTS: MY ADVICE? STAY HOME.
If the planned protests by the left go ahead, my advice is simple. Do NOT counter-protest.
I understand the anger. I understand the temptation to turn up and make your voice heard.
But if things turn ugly, you risk being dragged into the fallout, regardless of your intentions.
Sometimes the smartest move is knowing when not to get involved.
Don’t give anyone the opportunity to turn the situation against you.
Just my take on the upcoming protests.

My dear Stephen,
How lovely to see you marking the sixtieth. One of the darkest days in our history, etched in the memory of the nation, a community of such strength. All true. And all of it happening to somebody else.
Here is the part your tribute left in the drawer. The tribunal found the Coal Board wholly to blame and said the disaster "could and should have been prevented". The Coal Board then demanded £250,000 from the disaster fund to clear the tip that killed them. The fund, raised by public donation for the families, handed over £150,000.
Your party's government applied the pressure, in secret. George Thomas objected, then folded, and leaned on the trustees until they folded too. The Charity Commission sat on its hands. Nobody was prosecuted.
It took thirty years to give it back. In July 1997 Ron Davies, your party's first Welsh Secretary of that spell, returned the £150,000 without interest and without inflation, and conceded the demand should never have been made.
So yes. Remembering is lovely. Your lot billed the bereaved for clearing the mine's own tip.
Twenty three likes. Five retweets. And looking more like your father every year.
Do carry on, pet.

"The French state is not being terrorized by a mass army. It is being logistically exhausted by a highly disciplined core of roughly 1,200 active street anarchists, drawing from a domestic intelligence pool of 5,000 watchlisted radicals. Their strategic genius is entirely numerical: they use minimal numbers to provoke maximum chaos, utilizing a tiny, invisible footprint to successfully paralyze a G7 state's entire domestic security apparatus."
vs actors like David Tennant, who come across and sanctimonious and all about virtue signalling I have a lot of time for Michael Sheen who by in large quietly gets on with helping his fellow Welshmen out at a cost to himself.
Celebrity Traitors star Michael Sheen reveals he has given away pretty much all his money
The 57 year old actor said he has ended up giving most of it away either on purpose or by accident after earning a lot.
He sold homes to fund a homeless project and used £100,000 of his own money to clear strangers’ debt.
He told Saga Magazine he is a not for profit actor and that at 57 he still only cares about having enough for a comfortable life with his family.
He has a daughter with Kate Beckinsale and two younger daughters with his partner.
grim but unfortunately predictable stuff...
Myriam was a 7-year-old French Jewish girl. She witnessed a terrorist break into her school and kill two of her classmates.
She tried to run but tripped while grabbing her schoolbag, causing her ballet slippers to fall out. She stopped to pick them up. He chased her and grabbed her by the hair, shooting her in the head at point-blank range.
The man was Mohamed Merah, and a rap song honoring him and other Muslim terrorists has become the unofficial anthem of the ‘student protests’ in France.
