We may only know for certain that Trump has used a nuclear weapon when one explodes in Iran.
Reports say he could decide by Nov. 7 whether to nuke Pickaxe Mountain.
This is my map of what that strike could do. What happens next is worse
Performance alert: The military analysts worth there salt argue that even a Nuclear strike on pickaxe would not do the damage required to actually set back the civil nuclear program. Only a suit case nuke inside pickaxe itself could do that.

What do @normfinkelstein, @miakhalifa and @MelissaLantsman have in common?
Read my latest article, about an organization linked to the Israeli government, to find out…

Israel isn't sovereign over Hebron, that's in the West Bank, you know this thing called Palestine.
181 words, and not only does @CJPME hide that these Palestinians were in fact Hamas terrorists, but they call this terror attack a "gun battle", when in fact this was fully initiated by Palestinian terrorists.
Israel responded as ANY sovereign nation would.
Why don't you ever hold Palestinians and their terrorism responsible instead of trying to shift the blame to Israel?
Missing a couple key facts here. The two people killed were soldiers and they were killed in Palestine (West Bank) - What were those soldiers doing in Hebron?
Canadians are waking up to news of yet another deadly Palestinian terrorist attack against Israelis, leaving several wounded, some critically, and killing two people: Yonatan Roytman and Yuval Shai Svilem.
May their memories be for a blessing.
The Palestinian Authority has a responsibility to uphold security and protect innocent lives. The Canadian government must hold the PA accountable for the deterioration of the security situation and for its continued practice of rewarding terrorism through payments to terrorists and their families.
Without holding the Palestinian Authority accountable, Canada is permitting the PA to violate both their specific commitments to Canada and their international obligations to end terrorism.
Please tell me you wouldn't expect Canada to do this if it was Putin?

For years, CJPME has been sounding the alarm about the Canada-Israel Free Trade Agreement (CIFTA) - a trade agreement that extends preferential treatment to Israeli settlements and subsumes the occupied Palestinian territories under a Canada-Israel trade framework.
Our revised and updated report, Annexing Palestine Through Trade, examines how CIFTA effectively treats the occupied Palestinian territories and illegal Israeli settlements as part of Israel, despite Canada’s recognition of the State of Palestine and its official opposition to settlements. It argues that Canada’s trade policy is not neutral: it provides economic support for the settlement enterprise and facilitates the de facto annexation of Palestinian territory.
Amid escalating settlement expansion and settler violence, and on the heels of yesterday’s announcement by Canada, the UK, France, and 11 European countries of their intent to introduce restrictions on settlement trade, our report takes a deep dive into how economic and trade policies can function as tools that entrench occupation and apartheid, and what Canada must do to change course.

The intern you had write this post forgot to fact check - CJPME no longer receives IJV's mail. But go ahead keep smearing us.
Representation matters. And IJV is the one-percenter.
There has been overwhelming support for the new Government of Canada-commissioned study documenting systemic antisemitism on university campuses—and its clear finding that anti-Israel and antizionist ideologies are driving much of the hatred targeting Jewish Canadians.
We agree with @CdnHeritage Minister @MarcMillerVM that this report should guide the government’s response to what the Prime Minister has rightly called Canada’s antisemitism crisis.
That’s why it’s telling that one fringe group, which shares an office with a radical anti-Israel organization and has partnered with Canadian-listed terrorist entities, is so concerned. Their facade is crumbling.
Just 1% of Jewish Canadians identify with IJV’s antizionist ideology. For perspective, there's a larger percentage of Canadians who believe the Earth is flat than Canadian Jews who share IJV's view.
Let's keep the momentum going. Urge the government to continue to name the problem clearly: nothing justifies attacks against Canadian students or any Canadians.:

🚨Fraud! The UNICEF study shows stunted growth in Gaza is 625% higher than Germany
The 0.5% cited below is the Weight-for-Height Z-score, & the same study shows this is a result of Israel flooding Gaza with high-calorie junk food while restricting/banning fresh produce🧵
Kenny is blaming Muslims - pretty typical for a Harperite.
Honest question, Minister @EvanLSolomon: why does an intelligent, good guy like you, with a background in communications, repeat the absurd cliché that “antisemitism has no place… anywhere in Canada?”
The opposite is obviously true.
By every metric, antisemitism has a large and growing place in Canada.
So can we please just drop that ridiculous bromide and start to confront the painful reality that we, as a society, have allowed history’s oldest and most pernicious hatred to metastasize in Canada?
Of course this is not reducible to a partisan question, but surely some responsibility for the sickening growth in antisemitism falls to the national government that has been in office for over a decade.
The government that, as a matter of policy, dropped the Harper government’s formal acknowledgement of the the uniquely pernicious and durable nature of antisemitism?
The government that has funded vile antisemites through parodic “anti racism” programs.
The government that rewarded the perpetrators of the deadliest pogrom of Jews since the Shoah with recognition of a non existant Palestinian “state.”
The government that restored and increased funding to one of the greatest sources of violent antisemitism: UNWRA, which poisons the minds of Palestinian children with Jew hatred.
A government that has done nothing to address the problem of rampant antisemitism in many of Canada’s universities, where scapegoating Israel as the “collective Jew” (to quote Irwin Cotler) has become commonplace.
And a government whose naive approach to multiculturalism, immigration, and integration is willfully blind to the sad but undeniable reality that antisemitism is deeply embedded in certain cultures.
To all of those in office: enough with the cliches every time there is a new outrage targeting the Jewish community.
Real leadership is required, which means risking and spending political capital.

The pro-Israel backlash to a museum exhibit about Palestinian experiences of dispossession, and the dominance of those perspectives across media coverage, has illustrated the very problem that this exhibit is helping to address. This exhibit is a rare example of Canadian Palestinians having a role in how their stories are told, without being vetoed by those who support their oppression.
A Winnipeg woman whose family is among those featured in a controversial exhibit on the displacement of Palestinians at the CMHR says she was disappointed the ensuing public discussion focused so much on what non-Palestinians think the exhibit should say.

As you can see @MarkJCarney - Israel doesn't care about our words, we need to hit them hard with sanctions. Deeds, not words.
Israel condemns the ongoing violence against Jews in Canada. The continued shooting attacks against Jewish targets must stop. These incidents undermine prospects for peace, security and reconciliation.
We call for the de-escalation and protection of civilians. The law must be respected, and all civilians must be able to live in safety and security.
You are right, we need deeds not words from Canada. @MarkJCarney needs to sanction Israel now.
Replying to @CanadaFP
So, let's get this straight... @MarkJCarney said that “lecturing” other countries from afar on human rights is an ineffective strategy, but that seems to apply to all countries except for Israel, the world’s only Jewish state.
Quite the flagrant double standard by Canada’s Prime Minister. 👀
You are right, we shouldn't lecture from afar, that's why we need to sanction Israel, deeds not words.
Earlier this month, while in Türkiye and Saudi Arabia—two countries with deeply troubling human rights records, including one that continues to detain a human rights activist whose family lives in Canada—Prime Minister Carney said Canadian foreign policy would no longer pursue the ineffective strategy of "lecturing countries from afar."
Is there a double standard in which this new approach does not apply when it comes to Israel?
While I agree entirely on principle it must be highlighted that our closest ally also engages in the death penalty and we nearly never directly chastise them. This focus therefore smacks of orientalist badjacketing which ultimately leads to justifying the illegal war against Iran
Replying to @CanadaFP
We call on the Iranian authorities to immediately end the use of the death penalty, and to uphold the human rights of Iranian citizens, in line with international law.
The only solution is for @GAC_Corporate , and likeminded allies in Europe, to impose economic sanctions on Israel to force aid into Gaza. The fact this hasn't been done yet is a failure.
I don't find it very complicated at all to be in favour of Palestinian human rights and against the shooting up of Jewish communal institutions in Canada. I'm fighting for a world free from senseless violence and oppression.

Canadians want stronger action to sanction Israeli settlements in occupied Palestine, according to new findings from a national survey conducted by Nanos Research, on behalf of CJPME.
The survey findings demonstrate that Canadians do not support the status quo when it comes to trade with Israel, and reveal Canadian support for ending trade benefits tied to Israel’s illegal settlements, and for reforming Canada’s current trade policy based on human rights.
