My channel "Scrapy" (youtube.com/@scrapy4305) with 1.18 million subscribers was demonetized for a clearly incorrect reason — “harmful content involving minors.” I want to raise awareness about this issue because I see that in 2025 it has become a widespread problem.
It feels like the AI system’s sensitivity that detects “harmful” content has been drastically increased. As a result, channels that genuinely love what they do and respect YouTube’s rules are getting caught in the crossfire alongside actual violators.
The system seems to treat all creators the same, automatically demonetizing channels without any proper review just because they match certain trigger criteria. If your channel fits one of these patterns, it loses monetization instantly and automatically. Appeals are also immediately rejected because the AI bot flags your channel as a repeat or severe violator.
I’m very familiar with YouTube’s policies and I’m confident this demonetization decision was clearly a mistake. My channel features story-driven videos with well-developed plots and popular characters in the Minecraft universe. The videos are entirely positive and family-friendly, with no horror elements or shocking scenes. There is absolutely no harmful content involving minors.
I’ve been running this channel for over 5 years and have never had any issues with YouTube. For me, YouTube is a platform where I can bring my ideas and dreams to life. It represents years of learning and hard work. And all of that can vanish in an instant because of an AI bot’s misjudgment labeling my content as harmful to children. This decision is based on a misunderstanding, as the content is positive and in no way harmful to kids. It’s a nightmare, and it could happen to anyone.
I’ve been observing that more and more channels are being demonetized every month. At the beginning of 2025, there were only isolated cases, but now there are dozens, even hundreds of channels affected. This is a catastrophe.
@TeamYouTube @YouTube , please pay attention to this issue — I truly hope you reach out.
Please share this message, contact partner managers you may know, or any YouTube representatives who might be able to help.

My channel was demonetized again, after having my monetization reinstated thanks to a manual review and the publicity on Twitter.
The manual review by YouTube moderators had confirmed that I had no issues with the policies on my channel, and it was finally returned to me two days ago; according to the information I received, a senior YouTube moderator had appealed on my behalf. But today, the monetization was revoked again, and for the same reason: "harmful or dangerous content involving minors."
This was done by the flawed AI, which once again flagged my channel - youtube.com/@CraftologiaESP. I create Minecraft content and hadn't even released a new video since my YouTube Partner Program (YPP) was re-approved. I hope you will support my fight against YouTube's aggressive AI and that justice will prevail. I urge the senior technical support team to address this issue, as it is becoming a matter of principle for content creators' very existence.
@TeamYouTube @YouTubeInsider @YouTubeCreators
I wake up at night and see that I'm back in YPP on one of my six demonetized channels - youtube.com/@CraftologiaESP. I'm finally thanking @YouTubeInsider and @TeamYouTube for paying attention to this issue; I don't know if they will return my hard-earned money, but there is a result and it makes me happy! I'm starting to believe in YouTube again, although I'm truly very sad that I had to delete all my videos on one of my demonetized channels - youtube.com/@Mersik-Minecraf…, and it turns out the deletion was in vain.

YouTube is openly lying about a human being on the other side of the screen.
You can verify whether it's an actual human from the YouTube team or AI talking to you by looking at the tweet source device. Sprinklr is the AI agent they're using to seed false hope into you.

Hi @TeamYouTube, Many creators have lost monetization for “Harmful content involving minors” — even though our videos do not feature or exploit minors in any way. This is also an issue ongoing other than the mass termination of channels by your automated systems.
We respectfully request a review of the automated enforcement system and a manual recheck done by a real person for the affected channels mentioned below.

And the list still goes on.
Our content follows YouTube’s Community Guidelines and is purely for entertainment purposes only. Also we have marked all our videos as "No, it's not made for kids". Your creator support team just doubles down on the decision only without any specific reason and pre-automated messages. Same goes for the mail support as well. We have tried everything in our means to reach out to your team but nobody cares since we don't have that much influence as big creators. We have tried to appeal but the appeal button doesn't work and even though our appeal time period was finished, your team doesn't even extend the time frame since the issue was an technical error from YouTube end. Also the policy which has been flagged doesn't mention a single word such as gameplay. Also we have attached all the respective screenshots.
We support child safety 100%, but these mass demonetizations are mistakenly affecting creators who produce safe, responsible content.
Please help restore fair monetization or share us all clear communication on the violation specifics on this issue.
Also anyone reading this please help to like this post, comment tagging @teamyoutube and reposting this so that we could get the necessary reach we want for them to notice

Earlier this week I was demonetized and kicked from the Youtube Partner Program. I made a video about what happened, why it happened, and to warn others about what's going on.

Hundreds of YouTube Creators Face Off Against Rampant AI Bot Mass-Demonetizing Channels
@YouTube content creators are facing a formidable automated system that is demonetizing channels en masse, stripping them of the ability to earn revenue.
The targets appear to be channels focused on gaming and animation. The AI algorithm flags them as severe policy violators, abruptly revoking their monetization privileges. This happens even to channels with a clean record and no prior strikes.
This large-scale glitch seems to occur because the algorithm mistakenly classifies content as "spammy, bot-made content made for kids." But everyone understands that's not the case. Even if you poured your soul into your videos, the bot won't leave you alone.
The funniest part is that you can only submit a text appeal, which is reviewed by... a robot. And your appeal will be answered by a robot too, so with a 99.9% probability it will be rejected.
The outcome feels completely random, like a coin toss. I have examples of my channels being demonetized after 3 years of hard work, while other creators with identical content and even similar titles continue to have their monetization intact.
After demonetization, YouTube withholds the creators' unpaid revenue, claiming it is returned to advertisers.
And if you think maybe I'm doing something wrong, the evidence says otherwise. It's literally a 50/50 chance. Four of my channels were demonetized, while four others with similar content in other languages kept their earning ability.
The craziest recent example is my acquaintance's Minecraft channel. He uploaded 3 videos, got reviewed and approved for monetization. He was inactive after approval, and a month later the bot demonetized him for the same reason as me: "harmful content involving minors."
YouTube has always improved its AI moderation because manually checking billions of hours of content is impossible. But this has spawned a new problem for honest creators.
In essence, we are witnessing for the first time in history an artificial intelligence going haywire and depriving people of their ability to earn income.
I think Google's engineers really need to put safeguards on their neural network, or it will just keep punishing everyone indiscriminately. And by the way, this problem is still not solved.

I want to create a mass appeal from creators to
@TeamYouTube
Since the beginning of summer, there has been a wave of automatic demonetizations of original, SAFE channels due to "Harmful Content for kids." As far as I know, everyone affected is unable to successfully appeal because the responses they receive, both on Twitter and via email, are also from an AI algorithm. I call on affected creators to post links to their channels here and cry out to YouTube for help. The only one who has managed to solve this problem is
@KotteAnimation , but his case gained significant traction, while some creators simply do not use Twitter.
I ask everyone to unite here. Our goal is to make the YouTube moderation team notice this bug, as it is depriving us of our income. Please leave the following information about your channel under my post so we can help each other and assist the moderation team in resolving the issue.
1. Your URL channel
2. Date of demonetization
3. Type of your content
Detailed information on what is happening is provided below.
An AI Specialist is MASS demonetizing harmless channels for "Harmful or dangerous content for kids." Some authors note that their content is not made for children at all, and they even specify this in their video settings. Animation channels, Roblox channels, Minecraft channels, gaming Horror channels, and even video reactions to Horror content are suffering.
After submitting an appeal via email, 100% of channels will not be remonetized because they are also reviewed by an AI specialist. The responses assure you that a real person is checking your channel, but even the support specialist answering your emails fails the Turing test. It is likely also a neural network. Therefore, you will not be able to save your channel.
Not only are you demonetized by mistake, but your accrued revenue is also being deducted from your AdSense in favor of YouTube, essentially due to a robot's error.
Personally, I have lost about 4 channels in different languages, some of which I had been running for several years without any monetization issues. I never even received a single yellow icon.
Some channels using the EXACT SAME content theme as yours, with the EXACT SAME metadata, are NOT receiving similar punishment from YouTube and continue to monetize their content. Essentially, your channel's fate is being decided by a coin toss due to neural network failures. Out of my 8 channels, only 4 are currently monetized, and their number is decreasing every month.
Why are channels being checked by a robot? Where is the proof?
The latest wave of demonetizations happened at the exact same minute. My channel and the channel of an acquaintance were demonetized at the identical minute, which clearly indicates a non human review. In the appeal, they will not specify what is wrong with your channel because you were simply checked by a robot. It references confidential data and sends you a standard link to the guidelines. They will not even show you which specific videos violated the rules, which clearly demonstrates that the robot has no idea why it selected you.
Even if my monetization is reinstated, I want this error to be fixed. So far, only one person has managed to get their monetization back, but the core issue was ignored, and the robot continues to mass remove people from the YouTube Partnership!
The most likely way to solve this problem is through mass publicity, like this post. Promote it🤝
Hey @TeamYouTube @YouTube I believe a mistake has been made. You are my last hope. My channel was instantly demonetized for "Harmful content involving minors." But there are no minors in my videos, and especially no dangerous scenes involving them. Please, give me a chance
I can't even submit a video appeal. When I click the "Submit Appeal" button, nothing happens. Please review my channel. Here is the link to the channel:
