A new law enacted during the 2023 #MNLeg session legalizes adult–use cannabis in MN and establishes a regulatory framework for the cannabis industry. LMC has been researching and collecting information from state agencies and stakeholders to answer FAQs. lmc.org/cannabis

The Senate is now taking up HF 100 to legalize adult-use cannabis. This is the last stop for the bill before it goes to the Governor. It includes: -local zoning authority and license limits -local registrations for enforcement -revenue sharing for local govs #mncities #lmcleg

The bill was passed by the House last night by a vote of 73-57. Once signed into law, it will go into effect Aug. 1 — possession and home growth will be legal and the State will begin working on establishing the regulatory infrastructure.

Couple notable changes to the Minnesota marijuana legalization bill. Looks like the conference committee is going to permit 2 pounds of at-home possession. Also, local governments got new ability to cap retail businesses in their area by population size. No outright ban. #mnleg
