I’ve found the coverage of the inquest into Alexander Tekle’s suicide too painful to comment on. Until now. (This will be a LONG one.) 🧵1/?

Some cancers have seen remarkable progress in survivability but others are as deadly as they were 40 years ago. That’s why we’re supporting the first ever #LessSurvivableCancersAwarenessDay on 11 January 2022. #CloseTheDeadlyCancerGap #5DaysToGo lesssurvivablecancers.org.uk…

Too many families have lost loved ones to #Glioblastoma this year & Christmas can be tough for many reasons. I’m not naïve enough to think this is the answer, but it may offer a few suggestions to help someone get through December in one piece. #Grief @BrainTumourOrg

We are extremely proud of our founder @DB_Inspires who despite his ongoing current 7yr battle with a terminal #Glioblastoma IV, still uses his voice to fight for those who've been diagnosed or passed away with 1 of 150 different types of brain tumours #APPGBT #fundthefight
Thanks to dad-of-two, Dave, who shared his #braintumour story at our #APPGBT💛 In 2014 he underwent a craniotomy and it showed it was a grade 2 #astrocytoma. In 2015 he was then diagnosed with a #glioblastomamultiforme (GBM). Read more➡️ bit.ly/3osD3rO @DB_Inspires

Our working group in Scotland met with @HumzaYousaf today. It was great to discuss less survivable cancers with the Cabinet Secretary, and to have a constructive discussion on next steps. We look forward to continuing work with the Scottish govt and seeing action for LSCs!
