Male language matters. If you want to understand why classic male prose is fundamentally Anglo-Saxon, look at the physical architecture of the English language. Anglo-Saxon is the language of action, boundary, and physical reality—the domain of male classical literature. 🧵1
I am aware that lots of books by men exist. An inexhaustible amount, really. But the existence of classic literature doesn’t mean I can’t lament that current publishing de-emphasizes male protagonists and readers.

How far will they go to preserve victim status?
Las feministas gringas estaban tan obsesionadas con El Cuento de la Criada, que votaron para hacerlo realidad.

I can take a mental walk through my childhood home and visualize every detail down to minor defects in the plaster.

On this day in 1861 — November 5 — Confederate Major General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson arrived in Winchester, Virginia, to take command of the Shenandoah Valley District. Fresh from his stand at First Manassas that earned him his famous nickname, Jackson established headquarters in the town that would later become what he and his wife Anna called “our war home.” With limited forces of militia and a handful of regulars, he faced a difficult strategic situation: Union forces held Romney to the west and threatened the Valley, the Confederacy’s left flank and vital breadbasket. From this modest beginning grew the legendary 1862 Shenandoah Valley Campaign. Jackson’s rapid marches, use of terrain, and ability to defeat larger Union forces in detail tied down tens of thousands of Federal troops that otherwise could have reinforced McClellan’s Peninsula Campaign against Richmond. His “foot cavalry” became the stuff of military legend. Winchester and the Valley would see hard fighting in the months ahead, but the foundation of Jackson’s fame was laid on these early autumn days when he took the field in earnest. Remember the history. #StonewallJackson #ShenandoahValley #OnThisDay #WinchesterVA #ConfederateHistory .

Oh, but history says this is wrong. Man has always been the kinder, gentler, more nurturing sex. It is HE who tends the land & animals- it was HE, who braved the unknown to secure things for his brood at home, willingly giving what's his to those he loves.
My preference is to believe women are the kinder, gentler, more nurturing sex. Alas, we have proof that women are the irresponsible, baby killing, selfish sex. Sad.

This is a good day to block politics, it is all too sad. Virginia legalizing abortion until birth means we deserve what we get. Shame! Shame! Shame!

I don’t recognize my own state anymore. Virginia has been taken over by a satanic death cult.

I don't understand "Don't touch me!" after you point a gun in someone's face. Do they think this is a magic phrase?

Life is too short to go down the Markle rabbit hole but the entire family seems dreadful. Amazing that she dared to criticize any other family.

Freedom of association was a wonderful thing. The quality of our lives depends on whom and what we can exclude.
