The implementation of Marthaβs Rule will take a phased approach, beginning with at least 100 adult and paediatric acute provider sites who already offer a 24/7 critical care outreach capability. We will soon be asking for expressions of interest to be part of the first phase.
The NHS is rolling out a patient safety initiative called 'Martha's Rule' which enables patients and families to seek an urgent review if they are worried about their or a loved oneβs condition.
This will undoubtedly save lives in the future. england.nhs.uk/2024/02/nhs-tβ¦

Come on, please, let's think about PEOPLE not power boundaries.
Even the governments new fundamental standard for visitors extends across ALL settings. PEOPLE move across all settings and will benefit from a Care Partner wherever they are. This is a policy for PEOPLE.
Replying to @blimeysimon @NHSEngland
@CareRightsUK & others campaigning for 'Gloria's Law' - a legal right to a 'care supporter'. @NHSE very clearly can't impose such a policy on independent social care providers (as far as I understand things) carerightsuk.org/glorias-law
