Tokyo Game Show 2026 Previews #1: Professor Layton, Castlevania, Mega Man, and One Piece
#TGS2026 ended early due to the typhoon, but the event still put up some impressive numbers for its 30th anniversary!
257,642 visitors over 4 days, 1,138 companies/organizations from 53 countries/regions.
Tokyo Game Show 2027 is planned for September 16-20 (5 days) next year!
Plenty of ways to go fast at Sega's #TGS2026 booth between Crazy Taxi, Sonic Racing, and Sonic Pico Park!
Yoshitaka Amano (known for his Final Fantasy illustrations) also did this key artwork for Game Genome, an NHK TV series that goes in-depth with influential Japanese games and their creators! It was on display at NHK's #TGS2026 booth.
NHK has been adding English subtitles to Game Genome! Currently 2 episodes are available on NHK World, one with Itoi Shigesato (Earthbound) and one with Hideo Kojima. Other episodes feature creators like Fumito Ueda and Yoko Taro.

Mega Man, Monster Hunter, and Resident Evil artwork around the Capcom #TGS2026 booth
The Sega/Atlus stage shows are always awesome. One of the reasons to attend #TGS2026 in person!
They changed it up a bit on Day 2, with Naoto and Rise swapping in for Yukiko and Kanji, and everyone donning their glasses!

Awesome booth for One Piece: Grand Gourmet, in Bandai Namco's #TGS2026 area!
PS1 Lego set, and early controller designs on display at Playstation's #TGS2026 booth. Joysticks in the shoulder button positions seems like such a wild idea!
Konami's #TGS2026 booth also has a special 40th anniversary area, with artwork and development materials for some of the classic Castlevania games!
