I just asked a 22 yr old if she had any memorable teachers in school. She said: “Not really. I was kind of a hard head. But I do remember a couple teachers in middle school who worked with me.”
So those kids who act “hard headed”...we work with them too. And they will remember.

You might have brilliant lessons... but are you patient with students who need it explained a 2nd or 3rd time?
You might utilize all the latest technology... but do you work with the student who seems to have an attitude?

Kids dealing with trauma often project that hurt onto others.
So keep that in mind when a student shows up angry, hostile, or rude.
That behavior is often a cry for help.
