We’re on the second day of #AWSreInvent. It was an amazing experience to see @ajassy being back on the stage and Matt Garman acing it :)
Personally, I’m proud of what my team and I worked on that was launched today. It’s hard for me to pick favorites—from Aurora DSQL to DynamoDB Global Tables to next generation SageMaker to Bedrock Automated Reasoning Checks and Bedrock Model Distillation to Amazon Q Dev launches, including the Mainframe modernization, and Amazon Q Business launches, including the agent to automate your workflows. We can’t fit all the things our teams worked on, and we have lots of new launches in my keynote tomorrow that I’m excited to share with you :)
Of course, I’m also very excited for how our new Amazon Nova models are going to change the game on intelligence and price performance for foundation models:
🟠 Amazon Nova Micro, a text-only model that delivers the lowest latency responses at very low cost.
🟠 Amazon Nova Lite, a very low-cost multimodal model that is lightning fast for processing image, video, and text inputs
🟠 Amazon Nova Pro, a highly capable multimodal model with the best combination of accuracy, speed, and cost for a wide range of tasks
🟠 Amazon Nova Premier, the most capable of Amazon’s multimodal models for complex reasoning tasks and for use as the best teacher for distilling custom models.
🟠 Amazon Nova Canvas, a state-of-the-art image generation model that creates professional grade images from text or images provided in prompts.
🟠 Amazon Nova Reel, a state-of-the-art video generation model that allows customers to easily create high-quality video from text and images.

.@AnthropicAI's latest model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, just released on Amazon Bedrock today.
This model combines the speed and affordability customers have really liked thus far from the original Sonnet model, but with much better performance. Claude 3.5 Sonnet is the best performing model in the world today across multiple industry benchmarks for one-fifth of the cost of Opus.
Pretty exciting for customers and part of what makes building on Bedrock so powerful – you can update your combination of models as your needs or the technology evolves.
