And you wonder why the federal deficit exploding…
This Forbes investigation is a must-read. Donald Trump pulled in roughly $1.4 billion from crypto in 2025, plus more than $200 million from real estate, and faced a projected tax bill north of $500 million. So his company donated the "development rights" to his Jupiter, Florida golf course to a land trust, argued the course was a natural habitat worth protecting, and kept right on running the club. Forbes estimates the write-off could land around $825 million. He has done this at least five times since 2005. New York's attorney general alleged two of those appraisals were inflated. In Doral, he claimed a deduction of up to $323 million, more than double what he paid for the entire resort. A month after the Jupiter deal, he sued the IRS. The settlement his own Justice Department signed bars claims against him over matters that "could be pending," language that appears broad enough to cover this year's taxes. A federal judge found the case was brought to manipulate the judicial process. And the man now running the IRS, who took the job as this deal was being assembled, has a home backing onto those same Jupiter fairways. This is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody should be able to use the presidency to write his own tax bill. forbes.com/sites/danalexande…

Not only does this encourage Putin to continue his campaign to kill Ukrainians and destroy their economy, can anyone find a more chilling example of a US president accepting a gift from a dictator actively and enthusiastically involved in helping a US enemy target American troops?
BREAKING: Trump: I have just concluded a highly successful discussion with President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, wherein it was agreed that Russia will immediately supply over 300,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel to the American and Global Marketplace, another 500,000 Tons during the month of November, and 1,000,000 Tons immediately thereafter. Additionally, based on the condition of their Diesel Refineries, Russia will then deliver, within a short period of time, 3,000,000 Tons of Diesel Fuel. Between our TOTAL CONTROL of the Strait of Hormuz, and this great announcement on Russian Energy, Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST! Lower prices for Americans, especially our Great Farmers, Ranchers, and Truckers, is my Greatest Priority. This is a very big and important announcement. Additionally, it must be understood, that Iran will not have a Nuclear Weapon! Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Thesis The Persian trap will do to Asia what the Arab oil embargo & Iran-Iraq war in the 1970ies did to America & Europe: force a generation to redesign energy systems around reducing dependence on imported oil and gas from the Middle East. Nuclear should be the big structural winner.

I left the country of my birth, the US, and NYC, 3 months after 9/11. I have never lived in the US since. I saw the divide growing almost immediately when I would return to visit friends and family, an ocean of distance allows a distant perspective. wsj.com/politics/how-the-uni…

It’s difficult to look back and know that it will never be the same. Of course it’s the naivety of youth, but we all try to hang on to that a little, don’t we. RIP the twin towers and everyone who perished that day, RIP the million innocent lives lost in the subsequent wars
