I think it’s important in coaching (especially kids) to teach that things like “clutch” and “momentum” aren’t magical forces that some just have and others just don’t. They’re about mentality and willpower.

A team doesn’t “lose momentum” but rather they lose willpower to compete when things seem bad. A player isn’t “clutch” but rather their mentality empowers them to be less impacted by moments that make others nervous.
