Another curious detail in the fireworks scene of LA BOLA NEGRA. Near the end, you see a soldier dripping spit into the mouth of the dead (?) man. This reminds me of the spit scene from the film POISON by Todd Haynes, who was inspired by Jean Genet. Thoughts? 😁 #LaBolaNegra

He was imitating Penelope Cruz’s character I think, he felt warmth and comfort with her touch and her letting him know it was ok to be different, and just her general presence. She really does feel like a warm hug in the movie
