As of this morning, Benjamin is going dark on footy news until the end of the #AFLTrade Period. Here are his final thoughts on the chances of 30 players being traded, and the impact those trades would have on the #AFL at large.

Not only are the gather round fixtures completely wrong, but they’ve also got them at the wrong venue…

Lester's desperate act that helped save the Lions’ three-peat

Confessing to some mistakes early in the Grand Final, Ryan Lester was responsible for arguably the most desperate defensive act in Brisbane’s history.

I remember him as a Bulldog, with BT always messing up his last name as "Bedenbo" or something in that area. -B

Brisbane forward Will McLachlan has requested a trade to Melbourne. The out-of-contract 21-year-old met with Melbourne and Essendon earlier this week but has decided on the Dees after their long pursuit. @TradeRadio @AFLcomau

The potential movement we're obviously following with the most interest. I had it at 60% last time. I may downgrade it to ≤ 40% now. -B #WeAreGeelong #AFLTrade

Cameron Bruce, then? (I hope not, I want the Eagles to hire him once McQualter is sacked by next year's bye) -B #Uncaged #AFLTrade #AFL

Makes me wonder if Geelong is eyeing 21 from West Coast in anything that might involve Miers… 14 and 21 would definitely help Geelong be movers. -B #AFLTrade #AFL

Geelong will almost certainly need to use Pick 14 in a potential bid to secure Nick Blakey in a trade across the next week. It puts Rowan Marshall’s move to the Cats in limbo for the second time in as many years. St. K is happy to hold him to his deal. @7NewsMelbourne

Was rapt to see Jaymie Graham quite firm on North Melbourne's main on-field issue today. It paled in comparison to seeing what a great human he seems to be, but kicking a footy still has its moments. Some words to illustrate the importance of fixing the forward half game ⤵️

He's your best setup inside 50 Great runner High pressure Good tackler Already your best draft scout Unless it immediately lands Butters, Reid or Rowell there is zero rationalizing it

Love this for Richmond. Got him for nothing. Does he play opposite Retschko or go into the middle?

Seems like a very good fit for Richmond. We've both been fans of his since first watching him in 2026. Don't know why Mitch left out the fact that NOD's a 2x WAFL premiership player with Peel Thunder. #AFLTrade #AFL

Richmond is the leading candidate for Fremantle wingman Nathan O’Driscoll who is seeking a trade. The 24-year-old played 17 games this year for the Dockers @7AFL @7NewsMelbourne @triplemfooty

Brisbane's out-of-contract forward Will McLachlan met with Melbourne and Essendon on Monday. He has a deal in front of him at the Lions but strong interest from the pair of Victorian clubs. Decision coming in next couple of days. @AFLcomau @traderadio
