Plenary 8: Harnessing AI for Reinventing Medical & Clinical Diagnostics and Surgeries
Plenary Session 8 of UP AI & Health Innovation conference focused on how Artificial Intelligence is redefining medical and clinical diagnostics and surgical practices, enabling faster, more accurate, and data-driven decision-making across healthcare systems. The session examined the application of AI in radiology including X-ray, CT, and MRI, AI-enabled TB and chest X-ray triage, pathology and oncology diagnostics, and the use of point-of-care smart devices to improve diagnostic precision and efficiency.
The session featured a keynote address by Shri Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh and was moderated by Smt. Kritika Sharma, IAS, Special Secretary, Medical Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
The panel brought together distinguished experts including Prof. M. L. B. Bhatt, Director, Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute, Lucknow; Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Director, GIMS, Greater Noida; Dr. Alpan Raval, Chief Scientist, AI & ML, Wadhwani AI; Dr. Geetha Manjunath, Founder, CEO & CTO, NIRAMAI Health Analytix; Ms. Anasuya Mohan Rao, Clinical Partnerships Leader, Magnetic Resonance, Philips India Limited; and Mr. Vibhu Agarwal, Senior Director, Data Science, Medidata, Ashoka University.
