This is what the collaboratives are for - to convene, connect and build: founders to capital, research to market, skills to jobs. Africa does not need to be rescued. The Association of African Universities, backbone of the Africa Climate Collaborative, is participating in the Africa Health Collaborative's 2026 Annual Convening, themed - Africa Unlocked: Co-creating Impactful and Sustainable Youth-led Health Innovations - hosted by @AmrefUniversity, 17- 23 October.
Building green jobs and health jobs separately would be a missed opportunity. Building them together is the point.

AMIU was buzzing with innovation as we hosted the Afya Ventures Idea Vetting Session, a programme under the Africa Health Collaborative (AHC), supported by the @MastercardFdn .
Over two days, brilliant young innovators from @AmrefUniversity (AMIU), @uonbi and JKUAT were pitching 40+ bold health innovation ideas to an expert panel drawn from diverse sectors across Kenya.
