In a talk by two doctors from AISINAI at #theaiconf They apply/study AI to improve medicine aisinai.org/ it's been interesting how the NY edition has had more talks of AI to traditionally tech fields, esp. medicine, as compared to the one in SF.
"Weakly supervised object detection is not classification" #theAIConf I think this is a really important point. You cannot throw a resnet at an x-ray and hope to get good results. The importance of domain expertise and labelling cannot be downplayed.
