I do wonder if @JEChalmers @AlboMP have contemplated the impacts on domestic violence and child abuse as a result of married couple staying together instead of divorcing because changes to negative gearing if you divorce make it financially unviable to do so.

Spare a thought for the poor beggars lured into buying on a 5% deposit with no mortgage insurance. They could soon owe more than their home is worth.
Park the CGT issue… for a moment… if the housing market tanks, auctions clearance rates tank… which they are… it’s also home owners that are impacted. Not just investors but those good folk who are trying to sell their primary home, and suddenly overnight it’s worth less.

I can’t get over the fact that while Christians in Nigeria were hacked to pieces with machetes on Palm Sunday…
Christians in the West were crying persecution bc a church in a war zone was closed for missile threats.
I’m once again begging that we get our priorities in order.
I find this deeply disappointing - many many women rose up to support her march for sexual violence victims…. Including me. Her stance now makes supporting her untenable.
