My absolute favourite part of the new Network North document - which is almost insulting in the way it tries to convince northerners they haven’t been shafted by HS2 cancellation - is the part where they promise… To fix potholes in the South of England.

Immensely proud to say that the short game I wrote is out now. It's called Safe House, and it's about being trapped in a flat controlled by a depressed version of Alexa.

Escalating pattern of criminal behaviour. Last year he fell in with a bad crowd and was in the wrong time in the wrong place. Now he's committing crimes on his own. We need to get this kid a mentor or by next year he'll be carrying a knife for his own protection.
Following the circulation of a video on social media showing an individual failing to wear a seat belt while a passenger in a moving car in Lancashire we have today (Friday, Jan 20) issued a 42-year-old man from London with a conditional offer of fixed penalty.

A whole 3D printed dress. This is brilliant!
Took some quick video of my 3D printed dress during the photoshoot to show how it shimmers in the light, and how the facets kind of glisten in low light:

Lovely stuff
There’s some incredible chutzpah in today’s Times2 as a writer in his twenties offers his critique of the lyrics of Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Kate Bush, Bob Dylan, and Kendrick Lamar. This bit made me particularly grumpy:

I call this one 'The German Guns'
Every single food parcel handed out is a symbol of shame to this country. You should be prostrated in front of the door seeking forgiveness not crowing because you gave them 50p beans.
Today I visited the Dover Food Bank with Scarlett Smith, where we put together parcels for people this Christmas time. Scarlett also handed in donations of food and toys for Christmas that she has been collecting. I was so impressed with the vital work of the Dover Food Bank

inspiring to think that we live in a country where the head boy of winchester college can grow up to marry the daughter of a billionaire and oversee the worst response to Covid-19 of any major global economy while facilitating a six-figure death toll
Growing up I never thought I would be in this job (mainly because I wanted to be a Jedi). I'm honoured that on this day last year the PM asked me to serve as Chancellor. It's been incredibly tough but thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.
