Rewatch complete of Tim Burton’s love letter to gothic Hammer horror films. Fantastic cast with Depp being incredibly quirky and an unhinged Walken. Great sets, practical bloody effects and a perfectly creepy and classic Elfman score add up to one of my favorite Burton films.

Rewatch for TR30th. Solid adaptation of 2013 but strips it down almost to a highlight reel/Cliff notes. Vikander sells it big time but Goggins seems tired and them taking out the supernatural elements feels like bad choice. Action is well shot though.

The Motor City Machine Guns (@AlexShelley313 + @SuperChrisSabin) were INCHES AWAY from taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the Best-of-5 Series!

Jack Lowden is officially our last hope. He would, unquestionably, be a better James Bond than Jacob Elordi, or Callum Turner for that matter. Not only does he have the requisite acting chops, Lowden is the perfect level of famous to take on 007: real ones know how great of an actor he is from Slow Horses but the masses probably don’t know him as well yet. He’s ripe for Bond. I want this to happen.

FTW. A ridiculous,
Over the top action comedy that borders on slapstick at points. Incredible fight scenes especially the third act. Hiroyuki is charming as ever and Chiba is a film stealer.
It’s a goofy fun time.
4/5
A solid villain origin story that shows moments of brilliance and then doesn’t capitalize on it fully. A great story by Flanagan elevates a standard revenge tale. Tom Rhys Harries delivers. The body horror elements are wince inducing and the third act club scene was fantastic.

So today is officially 30 years since @tombraider was released. It’s not secret I am a fan of the series, since first picking up the game in 1996 from a Beaties store in Woodley, Reading.
We had got a PlayStation for Christmas and were allowed to pick one game. I was into Egypt at the time and felt like the right choice, little did I know then that I would fall in love with the game and it would be come a legacy,
Lara’s character, her strength, tenacity and sassiness and the way the worlds and tombs had such a sense of isolation and wonderment when you get to the main temples etc and the sense of achievement when you waited for the pop up at the end to see if you got all picks up and secrets, or had you missed something.
To be invited to be part of the official fansite programme for my Lara art was an absolute honour and privilege and one I will always cherish.
Below is a beautiful tribute by @sim2fan_ from today’s TR30 celebrations in @derbytombraider and it embodies everything about these games and 100% didn’t cry at the ending 🥰🥰😂😂 (yes I did, like a baby)
