// THREAD //
Yesterday I taught a 3 hour advanced copywriting masterclass for @AlinDragu.
And I think his community liked it!
So if you'd like a masterclass for your audience...
From a direct response copywriter with 17 years experience and 9-figures in sales...
Then feel free to DM me.
This is going to sound hypocritical - but I wouldn't learn from here.
Especially if you're just starting out.
Too much nonsense.
Too much conflicting advice.
And far too many complete beginners trying to position themselves as experts.
Use social media to see who you resonate with and who others recommend.
Then learn from their books, courses, community, or however else they teach.
Quick Marketing Challenge
You’ve probably heard:
• Emotion sells.
But how do you do it?
How do you use emotion in your writing?
I don’t talk about money.
I focus on the craft.
Because the better you get at your craft…
The more money you’ll make.
Quick Copywriting Tip
Don't just focus on the benefits.
As well as telling your prospects everything they get when they take action...
Tell them what happens if they don't take action.
Explain what specific problems they'll suffer from and opportunities they'll miss out on.
Last week I helped a client improve his sales page...
And at the end of the call, he asked:
“Can we do this again for the copy for my upcoming launch?”
Overdelivering is far easier than always having to hunt for new clients.
So get good at what you do.
Quick Marketing Tip
A silly mistake I see clients make all the time:
• They stop doing what works.
So when you get a new client ask them about what they’ve done in the past that worked for them.
You might find all sorts of ideas you can use again.
It took me a year to start posting here.
My hands were shaking when I spoke on my first Space.
I didn’t want to record my first video.
But I did.
Feel the fear and do it anyway.
It’s the only way you’ll grow.
It's Friday night...
And I'm just about to start Enshrouded.
Then maybe a movie later if I've time.
Enjoy your evening!
Quick Copywriting Tip
Maybe the fastest way to level up your copy skills:
Pay a professional to critique your copy.
(You might need thick skin.)
I don't know if someone's teaching this...
But I've ignored the last 5 or 6 DMs I've got as they've all just been single words.
You have to tell me what you want.
I'm not wasting my time trying to find out what you want.
Today marks my fifth year here.
So a big thank you for following and supporting me.
I appreciate you.
And for year six I've got some big things planned.
Starting with an advanced copywriting masterclass for @AlinDragu's community next Wednesday.
Quick Marketing Challenge
You sell a high-ticket offer.
The sales page is great.
But your prospects are complaining it’s too expensive.
You don’t believe that and you don’t want to lower the price.
So what do you do?
Quick Email Tip
For effective subject lines...
Use current events or cultural references.
So instead of:
• Strengthen your knees
You could write:
• Make your knees great again
Excellent thread where Dylan breaks down how he's used email to sell millions of dollars of property:
If you sell real estate, you may be sitting on a database worth far more than you think.
I’ve helped clients sell ~$2.5 million worth of property in the past 5 months through email marketing alone.
Each client had less than 10,000 email subscribers.
Here’s exactly how:
