Grunkemeyer gets sacked on third down from the red zone. Tried to step up away from pressure and got dragged down. John Love comes on for a 37-yard field goal and makes it. #Hokies lead Clemson 3-0 with 1:20 left in the first quarter.

#Hokies doing a lot of tempo on this drive. Tried a weird formation with Layth Ghannam lined up way out wide on the right side on one play too.

Grunk keeper on a read play goes for 7 and the #Hokies convert a third-and-3 to the Clemson 34.

Tyler Brown caught that third-down pass twice. Bounced in the air a little and he snagged it. It was still fourth-and-1, though, and Kenny Woseley shoots off the edge for a TFL to force a turnover on downs. #Hokies

Deflected pass at the line on third-and-6 for the #Hokies and they'll punt after a three-and-out. Or note: It's loud in the stadium.

Sure enough, true freshman Benjamin Eziuka gets the start at right guard for the #Hokies.

Last time a true freshman started on the offensive line for the #Hokies was in 2019: Bryan Hudson and Doug Nester. Benjamin Eziuka could do it tonight.

Starting five on the #Hokies' O-line in warmups looks like Ghannam, Troutman, Altuner, Eziuka and Lynch.

The Wolfpack didn't tarmac Dave Doeren, but they came pretty close. #Hokies host NC State next year. Will face a new coach.

Feels like the die was cast after that Vandy ending. Not sure how you come back from that after both being on the hot seat and losing to UVa in the opener like NC State did.
