Security is no longer the government’s job alone; it is shared by the businesses around us and by every citizen who goes online. As the nation looks toward its next 250 years, the question isn’t whether our digital foundations will be tested, but whether they’ll hold when they are.
Featuring analysis from NSI experts Alka Bhave, Dr. David Bray, @djetue, @TheAmynGilani, @AndyKeiser, Igor Khrestin, @NerdVet, @KarinaLipsman, @sultanmeghji, Teresa Shea, Shane Shook, Ted Wagner, Joseph Williams, and Lauren Zabierek.

You’re up @ShawnMcCreesh @nytimes
All of my meetings will be conducted this way in the future. Apologies in advance 🤣
A company sent an AI recruiter to interview him, so he sent his own AI agent instead
The two AIs discussed the job between themselves. No human was on the call
Then both of them glitched, and got stuck saying goodbye to each other. Endlessly
Job interviews in 2026: your agent talks to their agent, and neither knows how to hang up
.@ShawnMcCreesh now please do Dr. Abdul El-Sayed. I’ll wait nytimes.com/2026/10/14/us/po…
Give Sweet Lou justice!
Totally normal member of the global community doing totally normal things smh
🚨Very disturbing case at the University of Wyoming. It appears to involve intellectual property theft and attempted murder.
A Chinese student was arrested at the airport while attempting to return to China. She had been recorded going thru a colleagues research notes, and taking pictures of every page. She was also caught putting something into his tea, which turned out to be poison.
The Chinese government pays people to steal research from foreign countries. In this case the research was a new treatment for cancer, so very valuable. If someone could get an exclusive patent on the technology. Could that be a motive for murder?

Thank you @SBA_Kelly, @RepTomBarrett, and @USGSA_Ed for visiting Highland Engineering.
For over 40 years our family business in Howell — now with third generation employees(!) — has designed and built specialized troop support systems that keep America’s warfighters equipped and ready — from air-transportable facilities to critical field infrastructure.
We’re proud of the skilled team behind the work, and we’re excited about the momentum positioning us for another 40 years of supporting Mission-Ready Solutions for the Warfighter.
Grateful for the Trump Administration’s continued focus on American manufacturing and the small businesses that deliver for our military.
Thanks to Highland Engineering for hosting me, @RepTomBarrett, and @USGSA_Ed today! Founded 40 years ago in Howell, MI, this 3-generation business has a 60-person skilled workforce that builds critical infrastructure for our warfighters. With the Trump Admin putting American industry and workers FIRST, they’re growing.
Fair Trade means Made in America is back. And the Working Families Tax Cuts mean NO TAX ON OVERTIME — allowing the hardest-working Americans to keep more of what they earn.

BREAKING: Further espionage insanity from China
China owns the cars Norway’s soldiers rented for a military exercise. The cars proceeded to recorded the gate codes.
The Home Guard used Hertz vehicles during a September drill in Oslo. Hertz’s ownership runs through Volvo to Zhejiang Geely. Soldiers found stored video of who got in, where they drove, and the codes they typed to open military gates. They kept using the cars. No replacements.
Volvo still says Chinese ownership is not a risk.
This is where reliance on Chinese tech leads you.
For anyone in Silicon Valley, Wall Street, Hollywood, or Washington, DC promoting closer relations with the Chinese Communist Party, please know that this is the regime you’re dealing with. The same one that is also committing genocide against Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang.
They obvi didn’t study the doodle who kindly leaves less than a foot for me to sleep in our king-sized bed 🤣😫
A surprising new study finds that people who sleep near their dogs don’t experience disrupted sleep. If anything, the University of Toronto researchers discovered, we humans are the ones disturbing our dogs’ sleep. nbcnews.com/health/health-ne…

China is not the same as Japan. Toyota is not subject to China’s national security law. Japan does not conduct massive state-directed industrial espionage, dumping, subsidies, and market-fixing. Japan is not a national security or supply chain risk.
