Did someone say live chicken thrown on ice? From 1987 - @pdxwinterhawks vs. Victoria Cougars.
STADIUM TOUR: Regina Edition!
Ever seen a live chicken thrown on ice mid-game? The Brandt Centre has. Let's explore the home of the @WHLPats!

After video review, it was determined that the 2nd goal for @pdxwinterhawks was deflected in front and it will be changed to:
81 Toyne from 24 McLaughlin and 7 Spehar
His best stuff was referencing some wandering hobo who stumbled into the press box from the lower 48 in town to exploit the weak Canadian dollar. Guilty as charged.
A couple notes on @pdxwinterhawks 2-0 win tonight in Penticton:
This was the 20th time in franchise history that the Hawks have won by a 2-0 margin. The first was 10/27/93 - Scott Langkow vs. SAS.
The win was the first ever on OCT 14th on the road for the Hawks, were 0-3.
Incredibly sad to get this news. Always looked forward to seeing Jason in the press box during @pdxwinterhawks games. He was genuine and respected. My condolences to his family.
One scoring update for @pdxwinterhawks from Saturday:
4th goal is now 28 Brown from 24 McLaughlin
Scoring updates for @pdxwinterhawks v. EVT on Saturday:
2nd goal - Wilfley from N. Brown
3rd goal - Duguay from Grumley and Stebetak
The OT win for @pdxwinterhawks was their first ever win in the extra session of a season opener in their 51 year history.
They did have one shootout win in 2011 also vs. EVT in PDX, also winning 3-2.
Lastly, one tie, 7-7 in SEA on 9/27/91.
Incredibly sad news…Pete was an OG @pdxwinterhawks player and Captain, a hard working NHL center, Memorial Cup winning coach and one of the finest people that I had the pleasure of meeting in hockey. RIP Cap…
We are incredibly saddened by the passing of our dear friend Brent Peterson. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends and all those who knew Petey 💛

My annual wish for a @NHL draft broadcast that is just the audio of the picks being made…no analysis or interviews. It won’t happen, but a guy can dream. The second day broadcast drowns out the actual selections usually rehashing the 1st round picks.
Some numbers for Cullen Stephenson, selected 10th overall by @pdxwinterhawks in the Prospect Draft this evening:
The 365th player selected by PDX in franchise history.
The 211th forward.
The 66th from Saskatchewan.
1/2
The 7th 1st rd from SK in @pdxwinterhawks history:
93 - Joey Tetarenko (10th)
95 - Todd Hornung (5th)
00 - Braydon Coburn (1st)
09 - Derrick Pouliot (1st)
18 - Gabe Klassen (19th)
23 - Griffin Darby (17th)
26 - Cullen Stephenson (10th)
2/2
Shocking and sad news…273 GP as a @pdxwinterhawks forward, 89-85-174. Will be greatly missed.
#RIP
